So, I received a big surprise under my Lummie tree! I just wanted to thank all the thoughtful people who took the time to make my holidays a bit brighter! You are all so sweet.

I was bad this year and didn't plan or send many gifts at all. :P

I am also sooo bad with my money that whatever I have lasts about... oh, 2.2 in my account! x)

But, (DON'T PROTEST MY LOVE!), I am going to be sending you all lovely surprises here and there for the next little while. Because you all deserve it, and it is sooo fun for me to do! ;)

How was your holiday? All of the past years I've recorded my daughter opening her presents but this year I just sat back and really watched her. It was marvelous. She's so spoiled haha.

Aw, that is so wonderful! And I know what you mean. I was at my niece's Christmas pageant the other day and saw all of these parents with pads and cameras and such recording... all staring at the performance through the screen, worrying about how the video will turn out. I thought to myself, 'you are really missing the whole thing'. I understand of course wanting to keep it, and show the child later, etc. It's just too bad most people can't ask a friend or someone else to record for them because it really just isn't the same! So, good for you! I am sure you will have that memory and the feeling you had with it for some time to come! And, oh my, aren't all these kids spoiled so much these days? It makes me want to take half od the things they get and go hand them out to kids who don't really have much. :P But, it's so hard when you really just want to give your little one the world! :D Trust me, I understand!

By the way, I've always wanted to ask you if that is your RL tattoo in your forum set? It's so pretty.

My holiday was filled with family coming for dinner to my house for the first time, ever!, this year. And also filled with lots of pink! All of my decorations were pink. I have a pic of my RL tree on my profile. i just had to share the cuteness! x) I am obsessed with pink lately and am striving towards a pink kitchen currently!

Lol I know what you mean. My daughter's Christmas pageant at preschool was on Christmas Eve and while I recorded the Thanksgiving one I chose not to this time, I really wanted to pay attention. She was SO FUNNY. She YELLED all the words (after I aksed her if the teacher had told them to sing loud and clear and she said YEAH, so...) Everyone thought she was hilarious, I laughed until I cried! I'm sad I don't have a video but I'm glad I was in the moment. I'm hoping a friend of mine puts it up on her FB!

That was my dad's tattoo actually. =) He was a tattoo artist! He passed away in 2010, I miss him a lot. That particular tattoo was of a tattoo gun wrapped in periwinkles and it had my name under it. n_n After he passed, I found the photo on an online album he had kept of his work. ❤️

Oh my goodness, I've never hosted before. Was it nerve wracking? Did the food turn out okay? I would be going nuts haha. It's so nice to have family near for the holidays though. Every year I appreciate it more. And ohhhh my gosh those decorations are SO CUTE. Pink is awesome, and a pink kitchen sounds like vintage heaven!

Mine went well. I hosted dinner for fam and it all went quite well. It was my first Christmas getting really nice expensive things, for a loooong time from my family also. I was shocked! I got a giant Iron cut out piece of art of a fairy scene with toadstools and such that I put money down on like, 2 weeks ago. My mother picked it up and gave it to me. I totally had no clue what it would be and started crying when I saw it. x) It was expensive... you know, as far as frivolous, 'not necessary' items go! I don't like people spending a lot of money on me, it always makes me feel bad, and wrong (ba-dong) or something. xP

Well, hope the roads are all clear and it's not too cold for you! I know you seem to enjoy winter and snow and such almost as much as me. So, enjoy sweetie! kisses!! ❤

LOL you got away easy haha. And yes I have a few. n_n 3 bird silhouettes on my chest, a puzzle piece on my wrist, an anchor on one ankle and a hot air balloon on the other, and these wings from Card Captor Sakura.

Ohhh, so lovely! My daughter would be jelous of the bird silhouette, she wants those so bad. She is just starting out with tats... I told her when she was 16 she had to wait until she was 18.. and almost as soon as she turned the age her dad paid for hers. He is a loaded with them, he has sleeves and her name on his back, in like HUGE Old English ( I think that's what it's called) font. So far she has her 'spirit name' tattooed on her foot, 'Little White Bear', the name and it's meaning and origin really means a lot to her. She had an artist friend draw her a white bear face with a dream catcher and stuff around the face to later put on her foot beside it. I cannot believe the price of tattoos man... crazzy. I am glad her dad is committed to taking care of that aspect of things anyway! :P

And, a hot air balloon... ooooh, that sounds gorgeous. I have a thing for those. Might you have a pic you'd like to share? You can also smail if you like! :D

I've said it about a hundred times now, but I'm still fairly new to the site... but you are one of the few people who have made such an outstanding impression on me. This is the hot air balloon I have actually. n_n I feel like Modest Mouse's music has contributed so much to who I am, listening to it through my teens. It was my first tattoo.

edit: I should add mine is just black linework, no coloring or anything (I prefer simple tattoos!)

Ohh, my daughter introduced me to Modest Mouse. I am only familiar with 'Float On' and 'Dashboard' which she put on a mixed cd for me some time ago. I love them both... not sure why i didn't pursue more of it, but I'm lazy that way. x)

Well, I think a hot air balloon is a wicked tattoo. It also has an anchor as well. I've always wondered what is the symbolism of an anchor tattoo?

I think they mean different things to different people. For me it reminds me to stay grounded and remember what's important. I've always considered myself a free spirit in a way, and when I get really stressed out I just want to run away from everything. But then I remember I have responsibilities greater than myself. c: I feel like the image is a good reminder of that.
