For Senior English, I need to write a six page research paper on a debatable topic. I'm not sure which one to work on.....I like Media, but not sure on the EXACT topic

influence of the media on self-image? reality shows, good or bad that they take up so much programming? is popular media really /that/ popular? should the music industry continue to be so harsh on piraters? are traditional medias [newspaper, print, tv ads] still useful/profitable/thriving?
few random media related ones that popped into my head, though 'media' is a really vague subject.
Maybe censorship or stereotypes are portrayed...
I am not really sure WHAT to write about...=P...SIX PAGES???!!!
[Item=Pink Bellflowers]
well, what do you think of those suggestions? Hearing what you think about those can help me see what type of thing you're leaning towards... racism/self-image issues are pretty easy subjects to debate on, though, there are a lot of studies/opinions around.
maybe how too much censorship can harm people? or how censorship can be good in certain areas/have a positive effect?
for stereotypes, you could probably say something how gender stereotypes are influenced by what each gender portrays on television.
just make sure you study both sides of the argument. especially when there are strong opinions for both sides.
I really like to learn more about censorship....especially on the news!
oooh...I like that!
[Item=Pink Bellflowers]
Maybe I should write if news censorship hurts people?
[Item=Pink Bellflowers]
If I was doing it on censorship, I would mention Wikileaks. Does America have the right to know everything going on in the government or should some things be kept confidential?
Previously known as Scrambled.
My English teacher mentioned that one too! Maybe I should do that one....hmmm
ehhh....maybe if I wrote about certain news channels being biased?
[Item=Pink Bellflowers]
the only news channel in the us that's really bias is fox news. assuming you're in the us of course.
Yeah, i was thinking of writing about that....maybe
[Item=Pink Bellflowers]
with there really only being one news channel, i can't see that taking up six pages.
Then I should do
Does America have the right to know everything going on in the government or should some things be kept confidential?
[Item=Pink Bellflowers]
i could see six+ pages out of that.
sorry for hounding you about things. i kinda feel like that's what i'm doing. ._.;
No, it's good...cause this paper's impotent...
