This happened pretty close to where I live, and it's probably one of the most touching stories I've ever read. Very sad, but demonstrates the best of man and dog...
It sounds like the dog is in a good home now, but it's pretty heartbroken.

What a touching story. Thank goodness for that wonderful medic for being able to give him his final wish. I hope Yurt gets to stay in his new home.
Very sweet story, I'm glad that both the hospital and the animal shelter were willing to do this for him. The photos brought a tear to my eye.
That is so touching. :c Bittersweet. Great, I read the story and it made me cry. ;__;
That's so beautiful! ;_;
Another example of how animals definitely have emotions of their own. They DO grieve.
I may or may not have cried a little just now reading this.....and gotten some on the cat on my arms..... So so so sweet.
collecting This is painfully sweet. T__T
Huge lump in my throat now... what a touching story.
It was linked on forum I often frequent. Everybody was getting misty eyed, and then somebody posted the clip from Jurassic Bark, and it went downhill from there.
It's such a sweet story.

So sweet, it was such a nice thing for everyone to arrange for Yurt to see his owner one last time.
OH MY GOD.
as if I wasn't crying enough. That episode makes me sniffle every time. But this...this is incredibly sweet.
Stuff like that always makes me bawl.
I am SO GLAD that the dogs separation issues, especially after they were known to be separation issues, did not cost it it's life. I was worried I saw that coming but was so happy to see it wasn't the case.
This is a truly beautiful story.
I'm crying manly tears right now.
So sweet, got me all teary eyed. Just goes to show you animals have emotions and they do hurt and grieve. Some people tend to forget that they are living beings likes us and that saddens me.
