Is it possible to remove the white background around the minion image, pet image, and pet treasure? Or to at least change it to a different color or make it transparent?

It's not possible using code, sorry. You'd have to use an image editing program (such as GIMP or Photoshop) to edit out/change the white and then upload the image and substitute it that way.
