I had a friend give me a gift box thing, but I have no idea where to find it; it's not in my Inventory. Do I need to look elsewhere, or did I suffer a glitch?

Go there and click the button "Your Gifts" and for the record next time :D if you get an event saying you have a gift, there's a link in the event to take you right to where the gifts are. ^^
