This has probably been asked and answered before, but I can't find any threads on the crypts. Are the awesome prizes that were introduced during Morostide still available, or did they go away with the event? The prizes (for example the book, "Journal of a Lost Explorer"} are either not for sale anywhere or priced sky-high. It makes me wonder if they've been retired.

The only prize I've managed to find so far is the little ghost buddy and I've found him as recently as yesterday, so I assume the other prizes are still there as well.

Yep. I set my alert so I do them about every hour or so and I'm on a lot during the day. So I probably end up doing the crypts about 10 times a day.

I'm probably doing 8 times a day, just no luck yet. I'll keep trying. Thanks for the feedback! I was ready to give up.

Yeah I know the feeling. It can get frustrating, but at least the game is quick to play.

Just another question, so I'll not fill the Help Forum with another topic: how many levels I need to complete until win the big prize on the crypts?

I dunno anything about a grand prize for making it all the way through (maybe frankencluck?). You do get an achievement for making it. I think i've been through 8 or 9 rooms and I haven't made it through yet -- and I've been trying for over a year. You can get the cool wearables and/or the book without making it through. It's just a random event when you're in the crypts. I got the ghost right after it came out in Oct. and I was only in the second or third room. It's just like with the pie slices, you sometimes just get one for no reason. You apparently just get the cool prizes way less often. I'm guessing maybe 2% of the time? You just gotta hang in there...

I thought I read somewhere that some (or at least one) of the new prizes were for finishing, not just random events but the only one I've actually found is the ghost, several times, and I haven't finished the Crypts since the new prizes came out :/

the item notes at Subetalodge say that the Shoe and the Journal are found randomly while exploring. Subetalodge is careful so if you see something there it's very likely true. If you discover something different, let them know!

I don't know THAT many people who have been exploring the crypts daily, but I got 2 ghosts today. A nice change from pie slices, but a bit odd. It makes me think maybe you have to complete the crypts...

Update: I just did SS to find someone who had gotten one, but there are none for sale.

Personally I would trust the information on Subetalodge until proven otherwise. I came close but I haven't managed to complete the Crypts since the new prizes were released, and still the only prize I've found is the ghost so I'm sorry I can't be more help.

you now know another person who explores the crypts every day. I go every time I can think of it. IME the new prizes are pretty rare, and I'm pretty sure TPTB have made the pie slices more rare than they were too,.because I haven't found many of those, either.

- it says randomly in the notes because we don't know for sure otherwise. We KNOW the ghost can be found randomly and since the other items were released at the same time without sounding any different we wrote the same note on all of them. But this is a best guess based on the news report. Also, even if they are only given out for completing the crypts, its still random because you don't get all the items. LOL sometimes you don't get anything - the first time I got through I got squat! Not even any sP, just the achievement.
