Is there any way to change the skin colour to one shown on this site?

Or was it just an event thing? Some of the skins are really nice, it'd be a shame if it was just a one off thing ;w;
Itys an event thing. You zap your HA instead of your pets. It generally becomes available at around Morostide (oct-nov). However they have released skins at least one other time (during an event) so keep an eye on the news.

The avatar zapper is available during Morostide (Subeta's version of Halloween).
