How do I remove a tan from the tanning salon?

I think you need to go to the avatar section of the wardrobe and pick one of the standard bases and click save and use. (Not sure as I've been zombie for so long its hard to remember)

Yes, you just pick a different base and save it. It'll take a few moments before the avatar image updates.
