I don't know about finding out the actual dates, but you can organize items by date added in the Item Directory Building.

you can also search the items in subetahq and subetalodge; sometimes they have notes, like "Luminaire 2010"

If you are just interested in knowing if a certain item was made when, subetalodge can sort by id number.
