i'm having a silly little trouble with positioning absolutely from the bottom of my profile, am i missing something that will make it uniform across all browsers such as removing the margin of or something else? The position looks fine to me in FF but in IE it looks totally different, and again in chrome is looks even worse (see here) i haven't coded for a while so i feel a bit daft and behind - did any profile coding change recently?

: I think it's because you're positioning from the bottom. Since Chrome, FF and IE all use a different type of statusbar, the window's height is different in each browser. So I'd use top-positioning instead.

but positioning absolutely from the bottom should be the same in all browsers, just like positioning from the top...i'll look at some more of my old codes because i'm sure i've done it on a profile before

: My apologies for the late reply, but I took another look at positioning and you're right, in theory it should be the same across browsers... However, did you remove margins and paddings? Different browsers render margins and paddings differently if they haven't been declared yet. For example, prior to IE8, IE used to render a standard margin of 20px on the body tag. Chrome does something like this as well, I think.
