If I opened a August 2010 Collection or any other collection, would I get everything that usually comes inside one of these? Or only a few items of all the choices? If so, how many items would I get?

One item but you can choose which. :)

Just make sure that it says "collection" and not "donation present". Donation presents also give you one item out of a potential set, but you DO NOT get to choose which item it is.
