The legacy news page now shows the latest Kumos changelog entries in a special light blue section at the top! This makes it easier to see what's being actively worked on without having to visit the new site. Each entry shows the update type (features, bug fixes, improvements), a description, and links to try new features.
We're rebuilding Subeta piece by piece on Kumos, and your feedback is more valuable than ever!
This is great but I'm not a fan of the bright blue/white boxes against my dark theme. The grey text is also hard to read against the white background of the update box x_x
And right as I comment it looks like somethings been pushed through to fix this, thank you!!
This is awesome, thank you! (And I like how the boxes look now after the update. They blend better with the site and are easier on my eyes!)
How do i get rid of the changelog notification avove the update box? Its drivibg me mad
I hope there will be a retro Subeta theme I can use, bc I don't really like the appearance of Kumos.
Though the themes do help.
I'm really going to miss the old layout. I have a feeling that Kumos is going to seem like a whole new petsite.
Yay!
Yes, finally!! Not only do we have the changeover but also easy access to Kumos directly on the legacy homepage thanks to the update. I am so crazy happy about this, you don't even know lol. Thank you!!!
That's cool, now how do I get rid of the notification on the News page
Appreciated. I mostly use legacy unless I'm here for something specific at this point, but I do like to be aware of what's going on.
i agree, and a whole new version of subeta wouldnt be bad at all if it didnt look like a minimalist corporate-made app, barely functioned on a good day, and i could actually find all the features and pages i can easily find on the legacy site. im not trying to sound rude or give hate i swear, its just so very frustrating when every other update i catch for kumos just makes me even more worried for if we'll be forced to use it and unable to use legacy at all anymore. i didn't even manage to visit Melody every day which i was initially super excited for and mysterious melody, which i never got to experience previously to the kumos version, was more than a little disappointing.
Not to mention I have been trying to write a coherent reply for probably 20+ minutes at this point but my autocorrect isnt working in the text box, i can only backspace once every 3 to 5 business seconds, and I can't select any text to go back and fix. I love subeta, but i honestly dont know if I'd be on at all much anymore if kumos (as it is now i mean, especially navi and appearance) was my only option, probably not sadly. I hope theyll at least have some legacy form of site navigation even if the links just lead to their updated kumos pages, just SOMETHING where I can at least find areas of the site i need 😠trying to be changeover positive since i know it isnt finished and they are working on it with good intentions obviously, but it's getting harder.
I totally understand the need to update the code and all, but would it be so hard to design the site to look like the Legacy site?
Love this! Thank you!
I'm not super interested in this stuff, the code updates and whatnot. Is there a way to turn them off or get rid of them on the legacy news page? They're kind of in the way of the good stuff xD if there isn't a way can we get one?
I agree completely. I love that the site is being recoded to match modern standards and not run on duct tape and good vibes, but I've still yet to see an explanation as to why it has to look and run completely differently to Legacy :( Kumos feels so cold and bland, so opposite to Legacy (why is it all so WHITE?!), not to mention idk where anything is since it's all so different and there's no sidebar. It's honestly been putting me off the site since Kumos just feels like a whole new game.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels that way. I love the Legacy layout and really don't like Kumos at all.
Not a fan of new layout, nope. Very messy and plain. I prefer retro which is the cleanest pages.... same as before. And I don't use mobile phone.
I really appeciate being able to see new Kumos news on the Legacy site! It makes it much quicker and easier to learn what's going on on it. I haven't been active on Subeta much at all since Kumos launched, for similar reasons critiques above have listed. I do really want to try and "catch up" and apapt to Kumos since this is my favorite pet site, but if Legacy is ever made obsolete, I'm not so sure. If Eclipse was enough not make me never use DeviantArt again, I'm not optimistic.
this is great!! ty for this update
