I've noticed that it's been a while since we've had a restock war, and I thought one that would tie into the site mythology and history would be neat.

My suggestion would be a Shinwa vs. Maleria plot. Both of them have old art that desperately needs to be updated. In addition, Goddess-specific items could be released, and maybe more bits of history. You could also use this as a way to set in motion some changes to Subeta itself, depending on which Goddess' team wins. Shinwa being defeated could result in Sacred Lands being altered, Maleria being defeated results in Darkside being altered, etc. Much in the vein of Blackmoon vs. Sagg. You could also have Mori/Nori in on this plot, considering.

It would also be a good SP sink, as I know the site is always looking for those.

I've also noticed how difficult it is for new users to get into Omen Islands. I'm not sure if that because the map pieces have become even more rare (if they're even in circulation). I know the SP costs of everything other than are really steep. A new Omen Islands plot could allow for an easier way to reach Omen Islands (by doing away with the map entirely), or allow maps to circulate again. It could also give the Omen Islands some art on par with the other Subeta locations.

I like those ideas. I'm just afraid we won't see anything like that happen until the summer though, since between now and then we're hit with back-to-back holidays.

I think this is a sweet idea. Maleria vs. Shinwa has so much potential, though I'm not really sure about altering Sacred Lands or Darkside. My only concern is that it shouldn't be an RS war only. The plots need to have several aspects, like puzzle games, arcade games, RS wars, battling, so it appeals to a wider audience. That's not a bad thing, though. That gives time for the staff to figure it out and come up with a plot that is captivating both story-line wise and art wise.

I would really like there to be other aspects than just a RS war, like said. Sometimes I can RS but I'm not great at it :P I do like the idea of a plot, I don't think there should be an easier way to reach the Islands. Getting more map pieces out would be fantastic but I kind of like the mystery around it that you need the map to get there.

I love the OP's suggestions and I think it's high time for another restock war. Staff doesn't think they're fun though. :(

I never got on in time to participate in a RS war, but I think it sounds like a fun idea. Though I do like the idea of more happening than just RS'ing though

There have been restocking elements in the last few events/plots. All y'all haven't been forgotten.

- During which events? The last restock war was epicon 2010, and I don't think there's been much since then. There were a few quest chains that required you to restock an item or two, but that's not really the same.

If we have a war between Maleria and Shinwa I wouldn't want restocking to be the primary focus, because they're Godesses and it doesn't seem like something they would be directly involved in. I'd rather have the war mainly consist of battling (opponents on both sides, like the first Omen Islands plot), with restocking as a small side thing. Maybe you restock at the weapon and defense shops and donate the items to support your side.

I'm trying to think of who I would want featured in an actual restock war, and I'm not coming up with anything. D: Maybe Jade and Zuzu? I've always thought of them as siblings, and would love it if that was made canon. The stakes aren't very high with sibling rivalry though, but maybe that's ok. (loser does the winner's chores for a month? :P)

Ooh, you could go wild and have a global restock war with several teams, and use the councilors of each land as team captains.

Delphi vs. Arctic Frost vs. Sacred Lands vs. Shadowglen vs. Riverside vs. Veta Lake vs. Centropolis

during the last two scavenger hunts there was a restock component. Remember how the price of genetech components and spell reagents went waaaaay up in price? The winners of those restocking events were the fast restockers, the rest of us tried, but we paid through the nose and they were rewarded for their efforts.

Similarly, during Fireside, Charity had people restocking Food. Her requirement was more general so the prices didni't skyrocket so badly, but they did go up. I was worth it to restock instead of just buynig from soneone else, if you didn't have a hoard of food waiting to already feed your pets

Some people are better than others at restocking. Some are better at questing. Some are better at battling.

I don't consider myself great at any of the above, but I can do all of them if I try.

Past restock wars accepted items from rarity 45 and up anyway, so they're more than possible for people who aren't fast restockers. Prices for the more recent special event items went up because the items had to be turned in. Not so for restock wars.

Your ideas are really fun. I like the concept of a Goddess War being similar to the Omen Island plot. :)

- Genetech? You're not talking about the bed or whatever for the sleeping beauty background, are you? Because that's completely different. I do remember one scavenger hunt or something that required specific items, but again, that's just a couple items and you're done. That's nothing like a restock war. And I seem to remember them making it so those items restocked more frequently or in larger quantities so that everyone would have a chance. They also seem to have made a shift from that to just dumping the required items into the donation corner en masse.

And I hadn't thought about the Charity thing. I had over 1000 pumpkins from Morostide so I didn't have to restock anything. I'm still not sure I would count that, either.

it may not be like a restock war that you want, but if your requirements are that specific, then the one that you want will not happen. The problem with the traditional subetan RS war like you are insisting, is that it results in a lot of items brought into the economy that nobody particularly wants. Then everyone who is too impatient to recycle or who hates Crystal Shop items will complain about all the devalued items. (someone like me, snaps them up without complaining, and makes a nice profit, but that's me) Since not everone does what I like to do, these items linger. It's been the policy of Subeta to increase the value of sP, and doing this kind of RS war will devalue sP.

The genetech and reagent resocks all took items out of circulation, that is to say if you didn't actually want the items in question, you could get rid of them thorugh official channels.. It was a restocking based part of the event so that restockers could feel a part of it all. While is was true that some were Donated and the items were restocking more frequently,you could still make a very nice profit by restocking these items. I certainly did.

I was thinking a RS war would be a side thing, definitely, but a way to have one happen again. I think it'd be more along the lines of serving as a supply line for the forces of whoever's side you're on. The plot I envisioned would be more over-arcing and involved than just a RS war, but you could justify one in the storyline.

An in-depth plot with a restock war on the side would be a great summer event. I'd rather have one really thoughtful storyline as opposed to a bunch of smaller ones that are marred by almost constant technical issues.
