When I go to edit a post so I press the pencil, do my changes then press the button labelled "Edit Post" to confirm my changes.

The first thing that happens is that it shows an empty post with nothing like I deleted all the contents, which was not a fun thing to see...

reload the page and the post is back to normal but any changes I made are not there.

Also note: editing a post on kumos works fine.

edit: huh I can edit this post fine.. and others which include older and younger....

That's interesting. I successfully edited a post today on Legacy. And I've been editing posts on Legacy in recent days. I know the 'preview' doesn't work for me. I wonder if it's being selective about which posts have issues.

It doesn't do that when I try to edit this one, let me go try an older post to see if maybe there's a cache thing happening.

Nope. Tried editing a post as old as 2019 (oldest of mine I could find easily) and couldn't get it to repllicate. I'll let you know if I can replicate it later.

OK I think one of two things might be happening- Either it's a length issue-- I pasted it over from the post, and that didn't give any issues, so either there's more code in the making the dropdowns and those might be the issue,

OR something about the code is giving it an issue rendering.

Just guessing.

yeah, I tried several things to get it to replicate on a different post and no luck with that. it may be based on something that is affecting only certain posts or even just my post... might be a certain timeframe or such

but now it's best to let staff look into the issue and hopefully find out what the issue is and hopefully fix it.

that's a good suggestion and idea though it's one of the first things I checked, I pressed edit post copied the contents then pasted that into the make a new post input and the result for the character count is 15576 / 65000
