I've seen someone that I suspect is buying up all the r99s of certain items then reselling then for much higher prices. For example, they bought an r99 from my shop that I autopriced to about 70k last night and are now selling lots of them for 50m. Obviously my 70k one wasn't the only one at that price on the market, so i don't know how many they bought up.
i just wanted to check if this was against the rules, I'm coming back after years away and can't remember/find anything about item inflation!
Technically no, but it's one thing to inflate a mage amulet from 100k to 300k, and a whole other thing to inflate a lemon from 3k to 300k.
Ok. I just didn't know if I should do anything (report it) or just leave it. It seems pretty crazy to me to inflate things from 70k to 50m, but if it's not against the rules then I guess I'll just leave it.
It's just not the most polite thing.
I suspect they were also trying to get ahead of the buying up all of the R99s, which I was having that account do last week (and plan to do a little more shopping!)
It's not against the rules, but it's something that I tend to notice and do things like make those R99's in particular restock more frequently to allow users to stock up. Unfortunately most don't make it to user shops after that :/

They (or someone else doing the same thing) did it to me with retired items. They bought up all of one I had for ~30k... and they have almost 750 of them in their shop now for 2 mil. So they'd have to sell more than 11 of them at 2 mil each just to make back the money they spent IF they got all 750 at 30k each.
They may not be doing what Keith is talking about since these items are retired, but either way, it says a lot about a person if it makes them feel superior to manipulate a game like Subeta 😂 It's like the people who snipe minions in Minion Feeding or the ones who left and rejoined kissing booths over and over to get extra "spread the love" kisses. It's too bad that they get their sense of self-worth from ruining things for other players.
