Your card will still work from your inventory for now, but we recommend activating it as an Effect for a better experience.

How do I activate it? there is a button behind a link, but translator says if i click on "consume item", the card is gone..?? so long i no activate that i no see any items in shop, tysm subeta, very helpful

On your Kumos sidebar widget User Info there is a button "Effects" at the bottom. If you click it, you will land on a page with the info you posted above and an activation button.

That button will consume your card, so you will no longer be able to sell it, for example. However your discount will be substracted on both sites. Unfortunately the only way to see, what the item really costs you, is the "View all items" view of the NPC shops. there you will see 2 prices next to the stocked items. The lower one is, what it costs you with your discount card, the higher the original price. Otherwise you sadly just pay blindly. But it works. I, too, was very hesitant to activate mine.

Providing there are items in the shops - which on Subeta doesn't work right now, lol - you should see them now and then? I don't know, what you mean.

Are you sure about the discount working on both sites after it's activated? I thought it would only work on Kumos shops once you "migrate" and "activate" it on Kumos.

Edit: I dug up this post where Keith states that the discount will NOT work on Legacy once the card is activated on Kumos. You can read that comment here.

Originally that post was correct. And I really vented, that I'd definitely not do it, when I got an invitation to do so. But I was told by another user, that there was a new post in the news, and the cards were now working on both sites. She had activated hers and it worked.

So I took a closer look at the Kumos part of the news, was brave and activated mine.

And it is indeed still working on Subeta just as before. You're all safe to follow suite. no safety broken ;-)

Thanks, I'm still leery. LOL! Once the shops restock properly, I'd like to compare the final price of a specific item to confirm. To be honest, I don't think I'd be ready to have my discount card consumed anyway. The site has been too unstable recently, both Legacy and Kumos. I'm glad it seems to be working for you on both sites!

.. I stand by it—I hate the Kumos site and all its features; everything’s so clunky… In all the time I’ve been here, I’ve never understood why Subeta fiddles with things that work instead of fixing the stuff that’s constantly causing problems… When was the last time an event ran without errors?

Thanks so much for your help. Apparently, all the shops have been empty for hours—at least, no items are showing up. I just spent almost 20 minutes trying to activate my other pet... It’s been a real blast since the update.

Why don't you lock it in your inventory and keep profitting from the discount on Subeta (instead of stuffing it into your vault with no use)?

The good thing about unlocking it on Kumos is, that you free a lock space on Subeta, lol. And it doesn't hurt to get the reduction on Kumos as well, should you buy something there.

I agree; it's so clunky and now that lag has bled over to Legacy. I still have my discount card locked in my inventory and I still get the discount in the Subeta/legacy shops.

I know, changes are often hard, but ever since I’ve been here, I’ve needed a translator for everything... and now there’s Kumos, which I still don’t get what it’s all about... Is Subeta staying the same as I know it, is Kumos a new server, a “sister site,” or is it part of Subeta..? These days, almost everything is done on a cell phone, and playing on both sites is almost impossible for me... If I need a translator for every click because I don’t know where I am, what I’m supposed to do, or why this or that isn’t working, then I lose the desire to play... I’ve never stuck with a game this long, not even with "Neo" and if TNT hadn’t run the site into the ground, I never would have ended up here... The card is back in my inventory and active, and that’s where it’s staying for now... Thank you so much for your help and patience... ✨

I understand your concerns. I share some of them. While I don't intend to leave Subeta, I will probably suspend my gold account subscription in the next 24 hours (it renews in 2 days.) If the site remains stable and I am satisfied with the direction of changes, then I will re-subscribe. I hope everything works out.

It seems Subeta will stay around for awhile, now that Keith found a way to update it, so you're good for longer! Even though I personally am not happy with all the layout changes. I admire you for playing a game the language of which you don't speak - I couldn't do it. Don't let it get you down! Whatever you decide: choose, what makes you happy in life!

.. 536 I’ve spoken a lot of English for work, and most of it comes up again online. But “street English” is completely different from the English spoken online, which is why I have to use a translator... I’ve already been blocked because I mixed up words and didn’t realize what I’d done. Thinking in German and speaking English doesn’t work. Thanks for your kind words. I’ll see what the next few days bring—whether what Subeta came up with actually works in the end. (use translator..)

Oh, I see. Well, then you can basically get around. I wasn't sure, if you were German - even though I had a hunch.

I've just stumbled accross another innovation: On Shop Search Main Shops and our shops just look as if they were part of everything else; only they are at least still at the top.
