My top pet no longer shows up in training and he can no longer use any experience points. The training says they train up to level 5K but he's only 4K. So why can't he train to 5K? My 2nd battle pet isn't strong enough to do all the battle quests, he can only get through about the 1st 26. Any information about this would be appreciated. Thank you.

Once your pet hit the capped stats (I think it is 35k) then nothing but intel will be able to go any higher. If your pets str, def, health, and speed add up to the cap then no matter what you are finished being able to train at the training center or use EXP. I always keep my "capped" pets just a little below the actual cap, so they can still earn the EXP just in case it ever gets raised again.

If you buy a leech (Defense Leech, Endurance Leeches, Speed Leech or Strength Leech) from the battle shop with tokens (in Battle Coliseum), you can leech a stat and you should be able to train level after that. My main pet has just under 35k stats. As stated, if you are just under 35,000 in total stats (health, strength, defense and speed), you can still earn EXP from BQs and you can still train level. I recommend using one of the above mentioned leeches on your pet, then get back to training level and earning EXP on the final BQs.

I know some people still use tomes after they are capped to add to intel, but not sure if it adds to level also. I know it won't the capped stats (str,def,health,speed)

Don't hold me to this, but maybe boosters will still work on level since they still add to intel. Have you tried a tome or level potion to see if level can still be trained? I just know that EXP and the training center get cut off after cap.

What said, if you leach some stats down just a tad you will be able to use your EXP on just level. You might have to do this every now and then if your pet gains stats from random event or the job thing.

It may be worth mentioning that level as a stat does nothing for your pet's ability to fight when a pet is that size. Increasing level allows you to continue training other stats (health, strength, defense, and speed) in the training center. Since your pet is capped you can't use the training center to increase those stats anymore. Unless you plan to use the leeches to decrease one stat so you can then increase a difference stat. Even then you may not need more level if you have enough to increase the stat to your target amount.

If it's a personal goal and you just want 5,000 level on your pet that's fine of course. [Edit]I used a booster for intelligence that also had level on a capped pet. Yes, boosters will raise level even when your pet is capped.
