The Battle Coliseum is broken.

You can start or reenter a battle but when you try to make a move it doesn't load the result. If you reload the battle page it shows that weapons and the spell were used (if you used a once per battle weapon or spell its gone from your battle options) but there is no change to the pet or challenger state (health bars, battle text, freeze or other special icons).

I removed all my CSS battle related code and it made no difference. I tried to battle on Edge desktop and Edge app for Android and it neither worked.

Probably just a symptom of everything else that's currently messed up but wanted this noted for when stuff starts getting fixed.

Amusing thing: I'm having Ether in the set I used, the constants don't vanish, plus with every refresh, the Ether does produce a legendary!

I hope you are taking all this and the lag over the last 2 weeks in account and give us a few extra days for the throwback challengers, even though I won't have too much time now, because the (mostly wasted) 2 weeks I took off to have more time for battling are over now..

I bet battling is messed up because the Healer is on Kumos and not Legacy.

Same here. I'm bad about waiting till last minute to battle challengers before they go away. Hopefully they keep the throwback challengers around a couple more days till this gets resolved.

Shortly I hoped it might be a computer or browser thing - My daughter went into a fight and it worked for 2 rounds,.. then it broke for her, too.

i am battling for the first time... in a long time, but have made a lot of fixes that should be getting at least some battles through, and have more fixes incoming.

upgrading to PHP 8 from our version was a huge lift, and also means that a lot of things that were marked as "going to be an error in the future" or "will break in a year" have come true! so it's just a matter of knocking them out one by one, so i'm just equipping random weapons/scrolls and trying them - so if you have ones that don't work let me know and I'll add them to my list.

Old battle: I no longer need to refresh to be able to press "make your turn" again, but nothing happens at all. When I then refresh the page, I have the same number as clicks of the Legendaries added at once...

I tried "old normal weapons" - Shinwas Short Sword & Reborn Icewand of Doom - no reaction, on the third try I disabled the Scroll (Ocean Currents) and the weapons worked.

Then I tried the in the thread above listed set without the scroll. 1st round Intricate Energized Helmet & Volatile Energized Mech - nothing 2nd round Thunderball and Captured Eternal Flame resulted in a normal turn with full icons, text, Curse/Blessing activation.

Tried some other weapons, that did not work. Gift of the Forj Scroll was no problem.

So it's certain weapons and certain scrolls, that cause the trouble?

Trying them out one by one I found another weirdo: I can equip the same weapon in both slots!

These are all the weapons I have in my 5 sets at the moment and more that don't work - even though some are pretty old - than usable ones...

omG, I'm so sorry - viewing this on Kumos now, since Subeta is more (basically completely) down than Kumos this morning - this is a good example of the weird not working line breaks here - my list of weapons doesn't have commas, because I wrote them one underneath the other and here they are a terrible hodgepodge of words, I hope it helps nevertheless!

Going to work now and hope to find Subeta running again, when I return in the afternoon. Good luck! Keeping my fingers crossed (for you).

I tried a few battles today and they worked o.k. So far I haven't encountered any not functioning weapons. Thank you!

I too was able to battle. Super lag but that's no different than the rest of the site. Should we post on this thread or somewhere else if we find any broken weapons?

Rain Sylph is giving me weird numbers for the Pets that hadn't battled before - 11 or even 200smthg, when I just wanted to do the 10 first battles for the remaining pets...
