Trying to do my quests over there and it’s nearly impossible with it going down pretty much every second

From what I can gather on discord, Keith has been working most of the night on it, and is getting some sleep now. He's been moving parts over from Kumos back to legacy, in order to try to lessen the load over 2 sites instead of 1. I would guess it could take some time, hopefully there will be an update later on, but he might not know himself when either site will be working like before.

thank you! I don’t like to join discord servers, so I wish he’d posted something either on the news or… something. But I get it, poor thing is overworked and stressed right now 😭

The ability to post news has been broken for the last day, which is really, really fun! But the status of the situation is Kumos is where all of the background processing for avatars and for Survival was moved to this year. So every avatar you see on the site is being generated through the Kumos system. which rocks. It is a very powerful system that I've been building up over years. It has a great amount of ability to add new things quickly or make changes quickly, resolve problems quickly, and it wasn't ready, it seems like! We get tens of thousands of visitors a month (i know it's crazy) and loading all of those avatars... on top of survival... has tanked it in a way I didn't expect!

So since then, it's basically been running around like a toddler, breaking everything and it's been a collapse of dominos that i've just been trying to keep up behind cleaning up. I'm mixing my metaphors but hopefully that conveys that it's been CHAOS.

A larger post is incoming, but I'm bringing back some of that functionality to the legacy site - kissing and biting should now work (and maybe even on different timers!), kissing booths are functional here, and I'm working on bringing the healer and VIP pages back. Those require a lot of work, are really fiddly, and still mean that I have to use the legacy code, but that's become a lot less of a problem in the last two or three days.

Sorry that information is coming out everywhere (i'd honestly say the best source ON Subeta is the shoutbox thread! Even if you don't have the widget open - which I've made work again on legacy! - you can stay in the thread and see posts, and i've been posting lots there)
