I had the fresh virus and was at stage 3 last I checked. Then I made and put on a new outfit in my wardrobe (I use the new.subeta one and have never upgraded to the kumos one). This removed the infection overlay from my avatar, the healer doesn't show a message about my infection, and VIP is showing me all the options as if I'm allowed to buy a new strain.

Edit: more indepth list of events as far as I can remember:

• I open the wardrobe and play around with the new items / some zombie skins, but don't save anything and exit out.
• I notice that my avatar in my legacy site sidebar now inexplicably has a salon hairstyle on top of it. It previously did not have any salon hairstyles on. (It was the Dear hairstyle customized to be purple. I think it might be from a very old avatar I made.) I'm not sure if my infection was still present at this stage.
• I go into the wardrobe and try to fix it, but the wardrobe doesn't display any salon hairstyles that I can remove. I end up making and saving a new outfit, but when I put it on, the Dear style was still floating on top of it. I edited my avatar again to give it the Bald salon hairstyle, which finally made the other hair go away.
• I notice that the healer and VIP pages act like I'm not infected.
• I remove all the items from my HA and save to check, and sure enough my strain is gone.

Unknown if related but the Kumos wardrobe ate my hair. Fine on Legacy.

I am not cleaning up that hairball.

waited some time to no avail, so I went and signed up for the fresh strain again and it worked, so yeah it seems like my strain just completely disappeared.

I was told in a ticket this bug was solved a few hours before this post, so maybe it's still going on
