I can think of 2 cases why it may be important for users right away:

1. You are short on sp and don't mind using an item from the treasure chest now and restock it back later.
2. You forgot if you had this item in your pet's TC already, didn't use account search and bought 2 copies. Then you found out you didn't need to buy it again (happens to me all the time tbh).

Same logic should apply to Minion Zoo and prob some other storages, from where we can extract an item.
