It's been so cold and below freezing that they haven't cleared the snow away in our town. I have been in the house and haven't been outside, except to get my mail from my porch. I am having surgery on Tuesday and I hope my friend can get close enough to my house, so I don't have to walk far to get in her car.

It snowed in Tampa Bay last night. I missed out because I was working but all around my hospital there were snow flurries. It was 33 degrees at my house when I got home this morning. I got promoted out of neuro, hired in the spot actually, and started in cardiac pcu. I graduate in June with my bachelor's and have been researching schools for my Master's and which path I want to go. Which is AGACNP, critical care nurse practitioner, so gotta keep my gpa up.

Congratulations on being poster of the month ! I'm posting quite late so I'm hoping whatever surgery you had on Tuesday has gone well and you are recuperating hopefully back at home again.

Thanks It was a very long day yesterday. I had a total hysterectomy. It was same day surgery and I was scheduled to stay overnight for an observation stay, but the surgery went extremely well and I was able to go home. It was a 4 hour surgery and I had to be there at 6:00 in the morning. There was a lot of prep work and the actual surgery was suppose to start at 9:00 , but my surgeon had some complications with the patient before me, so my surgery didn't start until 10:40 am. It was a 4 hour surgery and then I had to stay in recovery for 2 hours. I think mostly because of my age. We left the hospital at 6 pm. I am just so happy to be home and not in the hospital.

I went to see my Rhuematologist yesterday and everything is looking great my SLE (lupus) is in check and he said to keep doing whatever it is I'm doing. So it was great getting good news. Life is good! Have a great day to all!

I got the pathology results from my hysterectomy. Negative for malignancy. Yay! I am a happy camper.

, I'm glad to hear you're home but that is such a long anaesthetic to go home the same day! You must bounce back well after surgery. :) I hope everything is going well at home and best of all, no malignancy. Also hope you're well stocked up for food if it's continuing to snow where you are.

Yes, we just got a bunch more snow and now the rain we were suppose to get next week isn't coming. One of my friends said he will shovel for me before I have to go for my post op visit on THursday. I do have a lot of food, but I just am not hungry. The pain did subside a lot so hopefully I won't have to take any more ibuprofen prescription strength. I do not like taken that because it's bad for your kidneys.

2/8/26 I am finally feeling a lot better. I stopped taking the ibuprofen Saturday morning. I am not tired anymore. I guess the aenestia is finally out of my system. I am also not nauseous anymore. I made a baked salmon filet for dinner tonight and it didn't bother my stomach. Tomorrow I will have some broth with baby pastina for lunch and the leftover salmon filet for dinner.
