Clicking "Return to Arctic Frost" on the gifts page sends you to a blank page with "No input file specified" rather than leading either back to Legacy or to a legacy frame in Kumos. Haven't tried sending anything yet, but didn't run into any other issues browsing sent and recieved gifts!

Maybe navigation can be improved. You have to go to gift wrapping first to have an option to see your received gifts - that link should be available in the top menu (alongside gift wrapping and view sent gifts).

Hi, Major Drills doesnt seem to recognize when a gift is sent through Gift Wrapping on Kumos, makes those quests uncompletable atm.

idk it's kinda confusing to me x_X like what's this part for? and are all the item types and rarities really necessary? I can't imagine a situation where someone has so many items that they can't find what they're looking for and would have to use these options. (but maybe I'm wrong)

And I can't find my friend in the friends list, it only shows 10 people on my friends list and even typing her name doesn't make it come up.

Would it be possible to preserve the way you could click on 'Give Gift' on people's profiles and it would automatically fill out the receiver's username? Right now, if you go to Kumos gift center through that, it will leave it blank. I liked leaving it out as a tab to make I don't forget who I want to send gifts to for gift giving threads.

Alright, some confusion here.

The "Send To" field does not show my entire friends list.

I click the item that I want to send, then I have to click "add selected item" again(?) which is confusing. Adding to that, the little check mark besides the items unchecks itself afterwards, giving the impression that it failed to be clicked. Surely just one check mark is needed?

EDIT: Typing in certain users shows "user not found" when they do exist and prevents anything from being sent.

The "send same items?" button works great - if you want to send the same items to the same user! If you type in another name and the gift center doesn't recognize the user, then the person whom you just sent a gift to gets a double gift, sometimes twice.

Overall, not intuitive and more complicated than the old version!

EDIT EDIT: I thought we were getting a drop-down version of our friends list? That would also be very helpful.

The dropdown struggles to find users, even if I just entered their name, it says no users available, then I have to re-enter and pray the dropdown finds the specific user. This takes several tries to send 1 giftbox :l I liked it when I can just check the item and it would be in the giftbox, but now I have to click an extra button. My biggest issue is with the dropdown menu searching for users though.

What I do like is having the option to search items in my inventory.

Using it for the first time, and also had issues not seeing the "send gift" button active. Took me a while to understand that just checking items isn't enough, you need to Add Selected items.

Also what said. The perk of going to someone's profile to give a gift and have their name automatically filled in was super easy and often used. Hope this returns above all!

Edit 2: are images not working anymore in the message, or is it just not showing when you check your messages sent, but does the recipient see it?

I really like how you can search through items (for instance, typing in "survival" to see all the survival flowers in your packed inventory!), but I agree that the Send To doesn't seem to be working very well..

My friends aren't listed in a dropdown, and even when typing the name in, sometimes people don't show up.. even though I've spelled their name right, they're on my friends list, etc. It'll just give me people with part of their names, isntead.

Came here to mention that filling in usernames is very difficult with the new gift center. 😥 I have to wait a while for the list of username matches to come up, and often just get a "no users found" message instead, even when I copy+paste the name or am spelling it correctly. If this can't be fixed right away, maybe a band-aid solution would be to just let us type the name as we normally would on the old system? Not a programmer, so I don't know if that's actually as simple as it sounds (I know programming rarely is). 😭

I've also noticed that when selecting items to add, it will sometimes take a long time for them to be counted, or they may get de-selected and re-selected before hitting the "Add" button. I'm not sure if this is just a symptom of the general site lag or not, though.

From a UX perspective, Legacy was simple and straightforward:

• page open with all of the items in your inventory (with minimal padding, and minimal scrolling needed)
• simple checkbox to select which items you want to send, select
• write message
• send

My first time using the new Kumos Gift Center was confusing, to say the least. Now that I’ve used it a few times, it’s technically doable, but definitely way more of a hassle and less enjoyable to use due to the set-up and the lag that comes with Kumos functions right now.

Gripes:

• Typing in a user: copy and paste no longer works. My friends list doesn’t pull up everyone who is on my friends list. With similar usernames out there, I’m worried I’ll accidentally send to the wrong person when manually typing in names and then having to select one (especially with the lag). Until this is fixed, it would be awesome if we could just copy & paste usernames again. Or even just letting us copy & paste (and then it can pull up if there is a user on site.)
  • A similar function that appears to work better seems to be the search function that shows up when submitting a CW and choosing a recolor option. You type in your original item that you are recoloring and it instantly matches it with the existing item. It seems fast and it works. No idea if something similar is possible here. Let me know if you need pics to figure out what i’m referring to.
• Selecting items: This is the biggest hassle. I hate only seeing like 4 items at a time. It forces me to search up my item when I sometimes don’t remember the exact name and I have to go to legacy to look at my inventory to then look at it. It is WAY way better to just show all the items in the inventory in one simple page with no scrolling - and not having such a small a box within the page. The scrolling is also wonky so I have to type most of the item so that only it shows up, so that I don’t have to scroll.
  • And then due to the lag, I accidentally added one item twice, when I didn’t even have 2 of those items! Then I had to restart or delete it.
  • I personally don’t care to search from my vault or my shop to give items. I like a little separation, especially in my vault, in case I’m reserving a copy of something for myself.
  • I can see the potential of "adding" an item to make sure you selected all that you need, but the errors of selecting an item multiple times without meaning to, the lag, not being able to remove it easily.... right now it just makes it messier and not as intuitive? Also because it's at the top and I have to scroll back up to see if anything happened?) Right now, it sometimes takes me a few tries and errors to get it as I need it to, and the necessary items selected.
• Sent items view:
  • if you send multiple of one item, you can’t even tell how many items you sent or that you sent more than one of a specific item. This is confusing, especially when trying to figure out what you have sent. This is a necessary fix.
• Clicking people’s usernames does nothing. I can’t go to someone’s profile to thank them for a gift easily or check that I sent it to the right person. I go back to legacy and have to go to someone’s page via URL or some other link on legacy like if I had been messaging them.

Essentially, in many steps of this process, I go back to legacy because it functions better in the way that I need it to. I assume this is a WIP, but it doesn’t really feel like a 1:1 transfer from legacy due to the UX changes. And the UX changes actually make it harder for me than it used to, to send gifts. (especially having to go back and refer to my legacy inventory just to choose items).

The potential to send more items in a gift? And perhaps easier to send bulk gifts? I can see the potential. But I had not had any issues with bulk sending in legacy (having a username all copy and pasted. Quickly selecting the first 10 items or something. Can’t remember atm, but I don’t remember any issues.) and would prefer a simpler UX since most of the gifts I send are just that: simple.

I understand it may be hard to do some of this stuff coding-wise (am not a programmer lol), but I hope this is helpful feedback ^o^
