I finished playing Avowed last night.

Overall I found the game engaging...as long as you're following the main plot of the game. I found that when I had to backtrack for some collectibles, that the world felt empty. This was probably due to the fact that there are only a limited number of enemies so when you kill them they don't respawn if you go back to that area.

On the plus side it's beautiful. Each large section of the game is different from each other. Also...you can romance Kai <3

HERE is my playthrough of the game.

The limited number of enemies and weird NPC loops really took me out of this game 😭 I loved the vibe & colors and texturing, but it felt a little soulless in the end. Glad you enjoyed it!

What do you mean by weird NPC loops? I played at the lowest difficulty (as I tend to do first time playing a game) so didn't tend to have to engage with NPCs unless a sidequest called for me to do so. If I play again I will turn up the difficulty as near the end I felt it was too easy to fight.

The only NPCs I regulary talked with were my companions.

I can understand why you didn't finish it. I began playing it because of the poor reviews and wanting to play a game that wouldn't stress me out.

I have GamePass which meant I didn't have to worry about the price tag.
