\OOC\ ALRIGHTY FOLKS- Let's have an old fashioned Roleplaying FORUM RP for a change!!
**DA RULES: **
(♥) You know the usual ones- be nice, don't GM or plow over people's characters, be respectful, blah blah.
(♥) Post a short skeleton for your character so peeps can refer to it. I'll post the format, stick to that. Your character can be a regular ol’ human, a demon, a zombie, a firebender, or a freakin jedi for all I care, so long as they’re YOUR OC. It doesn’t matter what universe originate from- they’re here in this place now!
(♥) For the sake of things not getting weird, your character needs to be OF AGE. Feel free to include a HA mock-up!
(♥) Once we get a few players and a flow established, try your best to WAIT for anyone involved with your character before you reply. There doesn't need to be a posting order per say, but I don't want anyone left behind because I want this RP to take place in THIS THREAD!
(♥) I'd prefer at least a few sentences, but not necessarily a book written for each reply. We should all be decent roleplayers here, folks, so try to pad things out, add some fluff, describe what you see, what your character is feeling, etc, etc. But there's not a word count minimum!
(♥) I'm going to school full time while working 36 hours a week, I have a husb and two kitties, AKA a life outside Subeta. I haven’t actively roleplayed since pre-pandemic timez. I'll do my best to stay active, so I'd appreciate the same from everyone else!
(♥) Have fun!
THE SETTING
A big ol' mystical mansion with seemingly an endless number of rooms.. a hotel? No one has been here before- no one knows what they're doing here now. You (your OCC) wake up in this strange place and as your explore your strange surroundings, you start to discover others are in the same predicament as you! Why? Who knows! Maybe we’ll find out? Perhaps it is all but a dream! Also, not everyone has to wake up in the same room or area of the mansion. Full disclosure, I don’t have a plot in mind right now. I basically just wanted to start a forum roleplay to just get started roleplaying like I used to many many many moons ago. I’m winging it and we’re gonna make it up as we go along! Sound good? Let’s go!
OH WAIT. One more thing- there’s a magical effect over all occupants of The Mansion that prevents general violence. So if your character is a vampire- they can’t go biting people who don’t wanna get bit. If your character is a crazy combative demon who wants to fight everyone they see- well so long as your opponent is willing, you can get away with sparring- but probably not killing! Something to do with mutual intent?
Friendly Pings for attention

Character Skelly
Private Outfit
Name: Quincy Farragut
Gender: Male
Pronouns: He/ They
Age: appears to be in his late 20s, early 30s?
Species: Vampire/ Demon
Occupation: Farmer
Physical Characteristics: He’s a pale fellow but also rather tall and lanky. The particular feature that others tend to notice first, however, are the heavy bags that hang under his deep crimson eyes. At first glance they appear dark brown or even black, but in the proper light, the sanguineous shade shines through. Quincy looks as though he never gets a wink of sleep, but despite the shadows and the unnatural hue, there’s an unmistakable kindness about him. Like someone you just want to trust or even take pity on, but you know what they say about first impressions. Quincy wears practical clothing suited to his life spent as a solitary farmer, usually a simple linen shirt and slightly tattered pants belted around his waist.
Random Fun Fact! Quincy passes out at midnight every single night, at which point his body is taken over by the demon, Lix, with whom he shares his soul.

There was no pain lingering pain, which was always a good start to his day. They always started the same way, opening his eyes promptly at 6:00 in the morning after passing out at midnight. Quincy never had any memory of the last six hours, but then people usually couldn’t remember their dreams while they sleep, how was this any different? It was all part of the deal he struck with the demon when the two of them became companions about a century ago. He trusted the demon to keep his body safe for those unaccounted-for hours in which he had free roam of the farm and surrounding dense forests. The nearest town was half a day’s ride away for a good reason.
Quincy woke as abruptly as he ever did, like someone had snapped their fingers to wake him from his trance. Thinking nothing of it, he quickly registered that he was indoors, not smoldering in the early morning sunlight. It took him only a few seconds longer to realize that he was in unfamiliar surroundings. He focused attention immediately, relying on his heightened senses to get a quick read on the situation but absolutely nothing was as it should have been. This was not his farm or anywhere close to it from what he could tell from the too clean scent.
“Lix..” He hissed the name under his breath, understandably suspecting the demon as confusion flooded over him. “Where?..” A strong sense of indignation rose next as the demon swam to the surface of his subconsciousness. Quincy placed a hand over his heart, patting there gently, apologetically before closing his eyes for a brief moment. They took a single deep breath and exhaled slowly for stability. Centered once more and standing from the polished wooden floor he had been sprawled upon, Quincy stared around the opulent décor of the room he inexplicably found himself in.
It looked like a cross between a trophy room and an armory. The walls were littered with mounted busts of animals, some he recognized but others he could only guess. Polished weapons of all type were on display in glass cases or hanging on racks, mostly swords and old fashioned guns. Suits of armor stood at constant attention in each corner, empty but menacing in their solidarity. Moving immeidately to the nearest window, Quincy looked out and realized he wasn’t on the ground level. Through the darkness he could see the building was surrounded by a seemingly endless hedge maze. Even his keen eyes couldn’t see beyond the sprawling greenery. He turned back to the room and cast out his senses, listening for any clue or hint to head towards. There were others stirring beyond these walls but he couldn’t pinpoint any locations or exact distance just yet. He checked his pocket watch and stared at the immobile hands stopped at the peak, finding himself unperturbed by the sight.
“Well then, I suppose let’s explore.” He muttered aloud and started toward the nearest door.
