I made a thread here about my trouble with subscription items, and I've just thought of a way that this problem could be resolved for myself and other users who might have the same problem as me.

I'm thinking that instead of the item being automatically given either on the renewal date or on item release if it falls after the renewal date, it could work like the Free Gift where there’s a place where you can claim the item when it’s released. That way, if anyone subscribes close to the item release date, but then the item release date ends up getting pushed back to a long time after again and it confuses the system, it won't matter if you have to go and claim the item anyway, and rather than being tied to your renewal date, it's just tied to whether you are subscribed or not like the Bewitched Bookcase challenger, so you can claim it at any time (until the next item) instead of having to wait until your renewal date.

Also, if the staff are low on artists to do new items, they can use it to re-release older subscription items as well.
