Hello! I'm new and absolutely completely lost. I've read the user guides and faq that I could find, but those things weren't too clear. The faq more so listed things but didn't explain or go into detail what the things were. It looks good for returning players but for someone new I am so lost! There is so much to this site and I want to understand, as I love the art style.

Does anyone have any more indepth guides on any aspect on the site? There's over a decade of stuff to understand so it's okay if I have to go multiple places. Just putting it out there I've seen a lot of the accessible guides so far.

I mostly want to understand mechanics, what you do, what all these item categories do, notable areas and what they do, stuff like that. I tried to do a tutorial on the legacy site but I got stuck as my pet wasn't hungry and I couldn't feed her.

Tysm for the help!

Well there really is lots to unpack for sure! Let me ask is there something specific you need to know? Largely some things you find by poking around the site.

FINALLY GOT THE 15K WARDROBE DONE!!!!! Next up gutting and selling it.

I play this game for a very long time and tbh, I don't think I know much about the mechanics myself? For currency, I mostly just do dailies and then sell the items given by the npcs at my shops. Restocking is also an option. You'll want to have a gold account for that, and the buddy account is the best option as it lasts a month (unfortunately I don't have one to gift you).

For checking item info and stuff I look at subetalodge, on google.

For graphics, there is the forum here , or you can also look for fallen samurai graphics.

For battle, they have guides on the battle forum here . Also, doing the battle quests is a good way to level your pet imo.

For pets being hungry, you can just put them at the Resort (Explore > Veta > Resort). At least I see feeding as something you do more to get specific achievements(?)

first off, subetalodge is going to be a great resource site for looking up items to figure out where/how to get them, what they do, keeping track of collections, etc. so you'll probably want to bookmark it.

some of the main things to do on subeta are:

PETS check out the different species & colors of pets. see if there are any you love the look of. then work toward getting them. you can create pets yourself, adopt them from other users in the pets forum, or sometimes find them in the adoption center (though i don't think people really use that anymore). then you can use elixirs to change their species & color, or potions to change just their color, although some species (particularly experiments) can only be acquired by using the zapper on your pet.

other things you can do with your pets include:

  • reading books to them to increase their intelligence and add to their "books read" collection
  • feeding them to add to their "foods eaten" collection (and keep them full but it's more efficient to do that by checking them into the resort, and there's no need to keep pets full unless you want to use them for battling)
  • train them to improve their stats and battle with them
  • get them a job so they can earn some sP every day and improve their stats to work toward promotions
  • make custom profiles for your pets with stories, graphics, and themed treasure chests; some people have a goal of getting their pet's profile, story, etc. complete so they can be nominated for and win the pet spotlight

HUMAN AVATARS if you're into that sort of thing, you might want to play around in the wardrobe to find cool clothes and dress up your HA. user-made custom wearables (CWs) are a pretty big part of the site economy, but they cost premium currency (which can be bought for real money or exchanged for sP, so it's not out of reach even if you can't spend real money on the site) so they're more like something to think about later, not necessarily right now.

MAKING MONEY the main way to do this is generally going to be doing your daily quests. i mostly recommend starting with shinwa (since she'll ask you to go to other questgivers, which you can't do if you've already completed all their quests for the day); then wizard, saggitarius, and quentin; and then however many others you feel like doing. (and if it's the weekend you'll likely want to do whatever the weekend quest is as well). this will give you a good amount of sP as well as items you can sell in your shop. you can spend your sP on items for your pets (e.g. potions/elixirs, tc items, etc), wearables for your HA, various collection items, weapons and equipment for battling, or whatever else interests you.
