hi i'm very very new (trying to find a new home as goatlings is in the process of closing :I) and when trying to adopt my first pet i kept getting some sort of error message that i assumed meant that the name i picked wasn't available so i just kept trying until i eventually just keysmashed and gave up and left the page and have somehow ended up with 16 out of 10 pet slots full and no way to get rid of them (as far as i can tell at least) so any advice is appreciated.. i considered deleting my account and making a new one immediately but if thats not necessary then i won't go that far LOL thank u in advance to anyone who helps!!

if you go to the pets page you can click on the little arrow in the top right of a pet's panel and choose the second to last option on the list, abandon. this will send them to the adoption center where someone else can adopt the pet.

Iirc you have to wait like 24 or 48 hours to let a pet go for adoption. Ultimately it's solvable and easy to do once the waiting time passes. Once you can let them go it does cost a fee but you can reduce them down to how many you actually want for now.

I’m not sure if there is a time limit and if that is per pet or not, but just thought you should be aware of the option to replace the names your pets have now.

thank u as well! i would probably just change names if i wanted to keep them all but i wasn't trying to get like 8 of each of the two species i was trying to adopt hahaha

Based on what I've read you may want to look into elixirs perhaps? They are relatively cheap to buy and many will also add basic colors like cream or aqua and come in many specie types. You can get them as quest reward sometimes too. for example cream jollin elixir gives you a cream jollin for the pet you use it on

- As Mythical mentioned, there are elixirs which may be worth looking into as they will change your pet into a new species/ color.

You can zap a pet every 2 hours and it has a chance to turn it into a brand new species and color. However, be advised that there is a chance it will miss your pet and turn one of the items in your inventory to dust
