I first got into Twitch when I regularly played the MMORPG The Lord of the Rings Online so I could keep up with in-game news. One of the former community managers also streamed himself building LEGO sets, which is how I got into LEGO as an adult, as well as how I became exposed to other LEGO builders on the platform, and eventually, other makers, crafters, artists, and even science communicators. All of these streams are pretty dang small compared to Twitch giants like Amouranth and kaicenat, but I think that makes them more fun, honestly.

Here are just a small sampling of my favorite small Twitch channels that I highly recommend: NinePointFive - family-friendly fiber artist, mom of three, missing half a digit on her right hand (hence the username) Paleontologizing - Actual dinosaur paleontologist Danny Anduza streaming his paleontological digs in the summer and paleontology news year-round. Great science outreach channel. BricksOBrian - LEGO and Nintendo fan, self-published author of the Pro-Gamer's Guide children's book series.

What about you, my fellow Subetans? Are there any hidden gems of Twitch that you follow?

A learning experience is one of those things that say, "You know that thing you just did? Don't do that." - Douglas Adams My wishlist.
