Heya! I always have a ton of ideas for characters and whatnot, but even if I create the characters I cone up with, I don’t really do much of anything with them. Because of that, I thought it’d be fun to have a thread where you can share things about characters & OCs without any pressure, simply to show off what interesting things come to mind.
Feel free to share anything from vague concepts for a potential character to fully-fleshed out OCs with lore and backstory!
• Vampire, but they were turned in childhood • Warlock with an ancient dragon as their patron • Group of street urchins who found a cache of rare magic items

-a shy twin and a bold twin that get “isekaied “ into the same world divided into Lunarpunk and Solarpunk sections
-I have two characters named Aurora and Briar. I ‘ve tested them out in different genres and settings. What stays the same is that they end up in a Sapphic relationship. They also always have a grumpy(Briar)sunshine ( Aurora ) dynamic . Lastly Briar has a pet bat and Aurora has a pet Peryton(winged deer)
Nice! Those are some cool concepts and characters! I like the “isekai’ed twins” the most, but they’re all pretty awesome. ^u^

Oh, this is an awesome idea for a thread! Like you, I have a lot of characters and character ideas, but I never really do anything with them outside of coming up with scenarios and stories in my head. When it comes to actually writing them down, nothing seems to come to me.
A lot of my characters are parts of myself, usually parts that I have a hard time accepting or expressing in my day-to-day life. By making characters with these traits, I found I can have compassion for them and by extension, have more compassion for myself.
Here are a few short descriptions of some of my OCs.
Lt. Giles Addington
Giles is a Lieutenant in the English cavalry during WW1. He is severely wounded in battle and requires a field amputation of his left leg. During the long process of recovery, he struggles with intense panic and PTSD; however he slowly learns methods of coping by talking with an open-minded nurse and expressing himself through painting.
T/5 Walter Lawrence
A weary, cynical, chain-smoking combat medic during WW2. He was a professional violinist before the war and he and his pianist wife would travel and play concerts in relatively small-time venues. When he was drafted, his wife urged him to flee the country, but he knew that would be suicide for both of their careers so he enlisted as a medic. A conscientious objector, he refuses to even carry a pistol and focuses solely on aiding the wounded. Still a very musical soul, he managed to smuggle his violin with him and plays it whenever possible as a self-soothing behavior.
That’s a clever way to help you accept parts of yourself you may not be all too fond of! Well done. ^u^

Woah, I'm kind of the opposite in that I do a lot of writing and drawing for my OCs. Though they do have overarching stories that I don't ever plan to write out in full, so maybe I can relate in a way... I make and do things with them primarily for fun / as a hobby for myself, rather than to publish a complete work, if that makes sense.
Right now I'm most focused on some characters for a cyberpunk-ish setting I made. TL;DR in this world demon slaying is a private sector job; the main characters are rookie slayers who unwittingly find out about their company's dark secrets. There's a lot of worldbuilding and character info up on my wiki: https://squidknees.net/oneiropedia/
Hiro is my favorite little guy atm :)
