I ToTed, resulted in a blank page, I refreshed, the wait time was announced, I went into my inventory, to see, what I hadreceived - nothing there!

It sounds like the site timed out while trying to figure out what item you got, and that's why you didn't get anything. This shouldn't happen anymore now that the lag isn't as bad!
