I wonder if it's still giving good prizes. I've gotten 30 "perfect catches" so far between the Beginner and Intermediate levels, playing both fishing locations. And the best things I've gotten have been two or three copies of the same book and two copies of an item from the Steamworks Menagerie , both items worth about 50k each. Mostly I'm just getting the same worthless junk the legacy fishing games give out. And the prizes don't correlate to how well I actually do AT ALL. I have gotten the rotten zombie boot from perfect catches and some of the more valuable items were consolation prizes for landing far away. The so-called "Legendary rewards" have been a great disappointment so far.

Edit: I'm coming across way too negative here, oops lol. The item rewards have been disappointing to me (mainly because of the duplication... why is there so much duplication on Kumos? I have the same problem with the quest rewards over there, it's boring to get the same stuff over and over and it just ends up devalued), but the sP rewards are very generous. It is indeed satisfying to actually be able to find the "best" fishing spot, finally, after all these years of trying. Leveling up is cool; I just gained access to the "Expert" difficulty so maybe that'll give better prizes. Overall, I really like the Kumos overhaul of the game! I'm curious to see how the "better equipment" will work too.

oh yeah this morning i pulled a as a trash prize and it's more valuable than most of the good prizes i pulled LMAO the item pool needs some tweaking for sure i'm with you on that :>

Nothing really of value sadly, way too many junk items even with low/almost perfect scores.

Daaamn you are good at fishing lol I'll just keep trying and I guess I might get lucky too :) In the meantime, well it's a good thing I have a soft spot for because they sure seem to like me.

meanwhile me getting 👁️👄👁️ - no complaints tho bc I get 100k sp w/ every perfect catch which is a great prize imo.

any luck unlocking the islanders this way though?

afaik the islanders haven't been released yet! according to the news post they'll be added once the game is out of beta :>
