Maybe I'm an idiot, but I could swear you used to be able to edit that? In 18 years I never tried, though lmao. But I'm going through the process of having my name legally changed and seeing that there is annoying and I'd like to switch it.

Go to Personal > Dashboard > Profile and you should be able to change your name.
