Here I'll be listing all my suggestions for new Medicontra items. Please do feel free to leave your own suggestions and I'll add them to this first post! Note that those would be great additions to the site even if they aren't wearables
- make them wearable and add an IV Bag + TPN bag too:
Multiple medical instruments:
reflex hammer

Tunning forks:

Otoscope:

Ophthalmoscope:

Penlight:

Cotton swabs/q-tips:

Gauze:
Tube feed bag:
Body mod casts and slings:
arms:

legs:

shoulder sling:
Neck braces:
classic:

modern:
Ankle braces:
Rib support belt:
Orthodontic headgear:
Orthodontic braces (maybe a smile item? not sure if it would be too small to see on the avatar):
Knee sleeves:
Orthopedic boots:
Walkers + rollators:
Surgery room background:
CPAP masks:
CPAP machines (and more here):
Ultrasound machine:
Pulse-oximeter:
Blood pressure cuff
Continuous glucose monitor:
Nasal cannula:
Tracheostomy tube:
Inhaler:
EEG lead:
Syringes - regular size of as a held item
i'd love anything for sleep apnea!
types of masks! (i personally use a full face mask like this one)
maybe you could have the mask with tube as one item, and the actual machine as another? or both as one! if they'll be wearable items, you could probably put the machine on a table next to the HA.
there are also bipap masks for other illnesses, which from what i researched look similar to cpap masks.
Could also make a tube feed bag and G-tube as either a single or separate items, as well as a TPN bag to go with the blood, plasma (and saline/ IV fluid suggestion above).
Also we have a lot of crutches and a couple kinds of canes and wheelchairs but no walkers or rollators.
We also have a lot of medical equipment but no reflex hammer, tuning fork (used for hearing and vibration testing), otoscope (looking in ears), ophthalmoscope (looking in eyes). Penlight, cotton swabs, gauze,
Also could have a pacemaker (HA could have a small shadow to show a bump in the left upper chest). Implanted vagus nerve stimulator would be nice too but not sure from a wearable perspective they would look different). VP shunt could have a similar bump in the head and slight shadow down neck/chest).
I thought we had some continuous glucose monitors/insulin pumps available but I don't see them in the shop now, so if I hallucinated those existing, we could add those in a few different locations. Could also have a handheld glucose monitor and lancets/pen for finger pricks.
Oxygen tank, oxygen tubing/nasal cannula, tracheostomy tube, inhalers
EEG leads for the head for the HA to wear, EKG leads for the chest, an ultrasound machine, pulse-oximeter for a finger, blood pressure cuff
Leg braces of a variety of joints: ankle-foot orthosis, soft knee brace, hard-frame knee brace, etc. Also scoliosis braces for the hips, arm sling (with and without thumb loop), arm immobilizer. Wrist brace, finger splints.
Medication patches (behind the ear or on the arm/leg).
Scalpels of varying blade types, surgical staple remover (we have the stapler already), skin marker (and a variety of markings, can make these comedic). External nerve stimulators (such as nerivio device), punch biopsy tool, skin glue (dermabond)
Craniotomy could be in medicontra or one of the zombie shops, especially if done as a sunken scalp. Similarly an external ventricular drain (EVD) could be done but might fit better elsewhere (not really a thing in an outpatient setting).
X-ray (could make an HA like a skin with just skeleton)
Surgical loupes. phoropter
SCRUBS. SCRUBS IN ALL THE COLORS. AND HOSPITAL GOWNS in various patterns and colors!
Hospital bed, Hoyer lift, shower chair, toilet seat riser. I may edit with more ideas as they come to me.
I love more Medicontra items! Even if people don't use them, it just feels good that they are a real thing that is available.
I am down for these. Especially the wearable continuous glucose monitor or insulin pump, or wearable heart monitor. Also like the chest port. I agree with that it is nice to have a virtual counterpart. As someone who has had various illnesses or medical crisis just for like memory sake it would be cool to have these items in a TC.
Hi! Thank you so much for all the amazing suggestions, I'm slowly adding them to the first post ;w; Could you provide an image of an EKG lead? I don't really know what it is (english isn't my first language) and google isn't being too helpful - I don't want to misrepresent it
ekg and ecg are the same if your language uses the other name (echocardiogram). here's a pic of some on the body. Given what Permanent mentioned of cardiac monitor, could also add Holter monitor to the list for a more outpatient everyday wearable option too.
Also perhaps some for limb-length disrepancies? We have amputation things, but one leg being short than the other.
I actually suggested walkers some time ago. They definitely get my vote since I use one. I also noticed that they had canes and wheelchairs but skipped the walker.

could probably also add caliper brace for each leg as well to the list.
Good idea. I knew a boy in my elementary school years ago that wore leg braces and crutches just to walk. Not sure what his problem was.
