Underling

I've had this guy for months now and worked on training him and his job. No clear character ideas have come to me still so I'm deciding to put him up for adoption.

Write as much as you'd like for an application! I kinda prefer folks with finished pets to show as an example but don't let that stop you from applying if you're a newer account.

✨ Why Underling?

The name Underling suits my DnD character’s familiar quite well. He is an imp who looks kind of like a chibi, canine-bipedal demon. His name? Oster, because Imp-Oster sounded funny, and, well, he is a fun little guy to boss around… and bribe with cupcakes.

✨ Underling’s Origins:

Once upon not too long ago, Aevas, an absent-minded druid fairy, stumbled upon a 𝔰𝔴𝔬𝔯𝔡, after un-heroically sending a horde of evil bunnies straight to bunny hell/ven. The 𝔰𝔴𝔬𝔯𝔡, made out of eternally falling ash, wasn’t just aesthetic, it was tied to the powerful fey who had crafted it. By claiming the 𝔰𝔴𝔬𝔯𝔡, Aevas unknowingly bound herself to that fey’s influence. She got some cool new powers, but (as these things always go) at a cost.

One day, the powerful fey made an offer: A helper. Aevas excitedly told her party about it.

Their response? "No more pets!"

Her response? "Yes, MORE pets!!"

So, she did what any reasonable fairy would do: She placed a cupcake at each point of a pentagram traced in the fallen ashes of her 𝔰𝔴𝔬𝔯𝔡 and performed a, uh… unique interpretive dance around it. Wishing really, really hard for another blink dog, she awaited her new companion. It was not a blink dog. But… depending on the angle? If you squint just a little? Maybe?

The important thing was, this little creature had opposable thumbs. And thus began his tragic fate. Born to hehe haha, forced to carry the party’s bag of holding, and actually be helpful. At least there were cupcakes. Delicious cupcakes even! Maybe life isn’t so bad. Maybe, just maybe, if he gets to be strong enough, he can eventually find someone even weaker to boss around, continuing the eternal cycle of masters and underlings~

Nothing new in the Feywild. :)

✨ Subeta Plans

✧ Species and Colour: I’ll either keep him as he currently is, or turn him into a Charlie. Not sure which Charlie colour yet. I just really love their funny facial expressions!

✧ Treasure Chest: A mix of cookies, cupcakes, sweets, cursed items, and anything that resembles what the party stuffs into their bag of holding, since, of course, the little imp is the one carrying it. Also, lots of ring-shaped objects. Why? Because Oster was given the legendary Ring of Power! A ring that grants him immense, world-altering power… over small ring-shaped objects. :3

✨My Account

All my pets so far fall into one of two categories: Either they belong to the universe I’m creating (Mist Realm), or they are tribute pets for my real-life pets. Underling would mark the start of a new category: My DnD-related pets! I’ve been wanting to do this for a while now, but since I love legacy names, it’s been tricky to find fitting pets for these very specific characters. (So of course, I’ll be keeping Underling’s legacy name!)
