I've got all the Dr Lockheart things in my vault to try out for the achievements, and just took one (Dr Lockhearts Amortisone, I believe) since when I looked it all up an old news thread from 2017(https://subeta.net/news/17272) when they got added to the Millionaire Center said they hexed you for 3 hours and didn't affect your virus progression.

Anyway, I took it and the healer couldn't show me my virus anymore and when I went to the VIP it asked me to sign up for a virus again. Did I just ruin my virus progression? I would have assumed that if it was similar to a hex you could still see your progression and wouldn't need to sign up for another virus strain.

EDIT: found an answer in a Survival thread this year saying that it DOES overwrite your virus, which... is just wrong. If the only info I could find by searching was the news post saying that it doesn't affect your virus progression, then maybe things should be signposted more clearly. I've just wasted about 2 days of incubating a virus, and I didn't even get an achievement for it.

It's a bug that has been happening for some years now. You should try making a ticket asking for your progression to be restored or just ask for the skin to be unlocked.

Thanks for your response and the advice! Are there any threads regarding this bug that you know of? I really tried going through the forums to find info before I took it lol. I don't imagine they will want to restore my progress when I just gave up and went to get bitten again, but I can definitely try.

There aren't any that I'm aware of. But it's really unfair specially when you found that 2017 post telling us to do it. :/ I'm sorry you lost your progress, if anything a ticket might help shine some light upon the issue.

Thanks for the condolences haha, I've gone and submitted a ticket like you suggested. It was frustrating knowing that in under 12 hours I should have completed another strain, and I only did it based on that news post. I really hope it's something that can be fixed in the future, or will at least be made very obvious to users that you will lose your progress!
