Hello, I don't normally make forums, And i've never made a suggestion before. so I don't know if I'm doing this right. Forgive me if I make any mistakes.

Since outfit contests are now new, and many people will most likely be flocking to make lots of new looks. I was wondering if there is the plan in the future at all, to be able to sort items specifically by color. As many items do not have a color in their name, nor in their description, and when you type in for instance as an example 'black' only 10% of actually black items will show in the wardrobe search engine. This seems like a bit of a waste.

either way this is just a question, and maybe I am wrong.

Have a nice day x

I think this is what the item tagging we’re doing is going to result in. ;u; i was told by keith on discord that he has this in mind!

At one time this was a feature in the wardrobe. Each item had around five colors you could click to find others with the same color. I do not remember when or why they removed the feature. And it was far from perfect. But I really look forward to the feature either returning or being replaced with a new system that works even better.

While the tags could be a good way to reimplement sorting by color I hope we find a way to create such a system so that it doesn't take up a lot of screen space.

🌟YAY!!! I finally reached 5000 food items! My ultimate goal is 9000. 🌟
My first Gourmand pet would appreciate anything from this list that looks yummy.
Still need Morostide candy if anyone is trying to eliminate sugar from their pets diet

this is currently partially implemented (some items have little color swatches beneath them) but it doesn't properly work yet. i'm fairly sure it's been stated as an intended feature, though.

it's not that the option was removed; it's that the version of the wardrobe that contained that option became deprecated, and when the wardrobe was rebuilt in its current form, it had to be recreated from scratch and thus not all the same functionalities carried over.

That's part of it, and the other part was it was really hard to actually identify the color in all of the items, without doing it manually. Even doing it programatically, as you can see from the limited amount that we have, wasn't great.

It had to:

  1. Pull down the image (and they're NOT BIG IMAGES)
  2. Get rid of all of the pure white, black, transparent, etc colors
  3. Choose from the remaining colors 1-3 'primary' colors. But even if a lipstick is blue, how much of it is really blue? Just the makeup part, while the rest is the container or whatever package we've put it in, which isn't helpful when you're searching by color.

It's something I've taken a few attempts at, and still just haven't come up with a great solution. The labels (and folks applying labels are my heroes!) should help a lot 😰
