There's so many different streaming services out there now! Right now we have the Hulu, Max, and Disney bundle. Normally we only have Hulu and Disney, but something my fiance wanted to watch came out on Max, so we got the entire bundle. I'm not complaining, because Max has all the home improvement and house hunter shows I like to turn on in the background. We usually switch between the services like twice a year depending on what's out - it's just so expensive to have them all!
Which ones do you have? Any particular reason? :o
Too many...
I toggle Paramount+ on/off if there's a Star Trek show on I want to watch( it's off right now because the new season for Strange New Worlds isn't out yet).
Otherwise: Disney Plus+Hulu bundled. HBOMax and prime video through my amazon prime. My brother has Netflix so it's kind of a family account since we all use his( myself, my parents, brother, as a general family Netflix). crunchyroll for anime
and because I watch Chinese/Korean/Japanese tv shows I toggle ones like Viki and Chinese streaming platforms if I'm watching something that's from China/Taiwan, Korea, Japan, etc.
and I think that's all of them. I also have the pass version of the local public access broadcasting because they have a donation member access pass for a lump 50$ and it's taxable charitable donation. I use it for various British tv series they have on there.
God there really are too many services. Me when the world decides to reinvent cable television bills.
We have:
My parents had Paramount and AMC for a bit but cancelled them at some point. But we have all of these and use all of them, mostly, because we'll watch some of one service and then switch over to another like changing channels in the same day depending on what we're in the mood for.
| snow! he/him pets open for rp urban fantasy, supers, dnd steampunk, magic zomapoc weird western, space opera |
I only really use Netflix and if it counts, YouTube Premium. I recently signed up for Nebula and National Theatre at Home as well.
We got Disney+ free from my bank, which I don't use but my husband uses for Marvel and Star Wars stuff, plus he puts on old episodes of The Simpsons when he's bored. He pays for Amazon Prime which I have access to through household sharing, but I don't use it.
Youtube, Spotify... Hm okay no I don't remember more
We've got Hulu and Disney+, although not bundled. Also Netflix. Every time I think we'll finally pare one of them down, we get hooked on something. Netflix has the kids' shows my boys like to watch. Disney+ has all the movies and cinematic-universe series we enjoy (Star Wars, anyone?) and then Hulu is better for TV shows/sitcoms. My biggest complaint is that Netflix is so bogged down with absolute garbage and the selection comes and goes so randomly. Every time we get hooked on an original series, they unexpectedly cancel it. I miss when it was like $7/month and had almost everything, too. BUT Netflix has Bridgerton and, like I said, all the kids' shows my boys enjoy, so we're sticking with it for now.

🍯 currently: learning to be kind to myself 🌿
Netflix and Tubi. Netflix for the anime, originals, and a couple other things. That, and they respect animation a lot more than HBO does.
Tubi is free, and has all the stuff nobody else has. Can't find a movie/show on any of the well-known streaming services? Try Tubi. It's free with ads. Like real tv, but better, since the ads don't last nearly as long.
There's also Hoopla, but I've ended up only using it every now and then. It's linked to the public library, so it's free as long as you have a library card. Sometimes, it has the stuff even Tubi doesn't have. Like The Haunting Hour.
Hulu with I think Starz? It was some Black Friday special running for $2 a month, after this year it'll be $20 a month.... I can also vouch Tubi is good for older and harder to find things, so many foreign horror options it keeps me happy. I also got Pluto??? I think that's the free one starting with a P, I haven't tried it much yet.
I've got subscriptions for Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Crunchyroll. Partner tends to watch movies on Prime and we both watch the occasional series there, and we also both use Netflix. Crunchyroll is more for me for all of my anime watching.

i technically have spotify premium bc it's how i discover new music (am working on it) + hulu from said spotify premium but that'se it
banner by I have Amazon Prime because I adore Prime Video, plus a free twitch sub monthly is awesome I also have the premium subscription of the "eBay" of my country bc it comes with free shipping and HBO+ and Deezer Premium for a really small price
I have Youtube Premium and Hulu. I only have Hulu because there was a deal where you could have it for a dollar a month. I always have Youtube Premium because I mostly watch youtube and hate ads, and I used to walk everywhere so being able to have the screen off was important to me. I also appreciate that Youtube Music comes with it :D
If you can see this, I've temporarily stopped lurking uwu
I have Prime Video now, too. I signed up for one of the two streaming services my library works with, but the selection is all really, really, really old movies. The other streaming service needed my library card PIN, but my library card doesn't have a PIN, so ...
My favorite: Dropout TV!
The spiritual successor of CollegeHumor. They have lots of shows that I love, from game shows to TTRPG campaigns, I adore the new cooking show they rolled up, and it's just a good time - good vibes, great talent, great employer as well from what I've heard, which warms my little heart.
For music I've started using Deezer, which is a French streaming service. Very happy with them and also a service that is closer aligned to my values with regards to compensating artists and not freely allowing AI music on the platform.
That's it! I just cancelled Crunchyroll, which was my third. But I get by with these two, and pretty well I would say :)
