Before posting on this board though, please take a few moments to read through the following information.

• Subeta's forum is restricted to English only so please use English when posting. (please see our English Only rule for additional information on this). If English is not your first language, please use it to the best of your ability.
• Try to use proper grammar and refrain from using chatspeak. Many people find chatspeak very difficult to read and annoying.
• When introducing yourself, remember that first impressions are long-lasting so try to make your introduction interesting and gives others something to respond to. If you are stuck on what to write, here are a few suggestions to get your started:

• Tell a little bit about yourself, e.g., Do you have any hobbies? Do you have any pets? What TV shows, movies, music do you like?
• How are you liking Subeta so far?
• What are you favortie Subeta pets?
You may not make friends right away, and that's okay! There are many users on Subeta searching for new friends so don't be afraid to venture to other areas of the forum and join in conversations! :)[/ul]

Welcomes & Introductions board rules.

We want this board to stay neat and tidy for our new users, so a there are a few rules in place for everyone who visits this board:

• Please do not bring up OLD (6+ months) topics! It just moves the new topics down and no one will get a chance to see them.
• NO SPAMMING. Do not go down the page and post the same welcome message over and over on every single thread. Doing this is considered spamming and you will get a warning for it.

  Whether it be helpful or not, each message must be distinctly different from the last one you posted. Posting just "Hi. Welcome to Subeta." in numerous threads only makes it look like you are trying to up your post count.

• Topics titled "Friends", "Looking for Friends", etc. do not belong here and will be automatically locked. There is a topic in the Chit-Chat board titled "Looking for Friends? Try Here!" that is specifically for finding some friends on Subeta so use that instead.
• Please no "Welcome newbies... I'm here to help so ask me anything" type topics. We have a Help & Questions board for users who need help so it's not necessary and topics of this nature here will just be locked.
• Feeling generous and want to give out newbie-packs to new users? That's great, however, this is not the place for doing it. There is a Giveaways board in the Subeta Commerce section of the forum just for the purpose of giving away items to other users, so use that.

Recommended reading for ALL new users, and users returning to the site after an extended absence.

• First and foremost, be sure that you take the time to read through the site Rules and Terms and Conditions, and the Community Guidelines. We know that nobody really likes reading these things but we ask that you please do. It will greatly help you in learning what is not allowed on Subeta and just might save you from getting warnings, or worse. Failure to follow the site rules will result in disciplinary action.

Subeta Lingo/Abbreviation Definitions.

You may see users using various abbreviations and Subeta related lingo around the site. For a new user these can be quite confusing so here is a list of those most commonly used and what they mean.

AB - Auto Bid/Auto Buy BB - Blue Building B&C - Bragging and Complaining forum BHH - Black Heart Hollow CC - Chit-Chat forum CSC - Cash Shop Credits CGC - Credit Gift Card ETS/HTS - Easy to sell/Hard to sell. This refers to items that would either be easy or hard to sell. GA - Gold Account. An upgraded user account that has additional benefits around the site. HA - Human Avatar. These are the 'doll-like' characters you see next to users' posts in the forum and other areas of the site. MKB - Magical Keepsake Box (item used to increase pet Treasure Chests) NPC - Non Playable Character RS/RSing - Restock/Restocking (buying from the Subeta shops) SB - Shoutbox SBQ - Subeautique sP - Subeta Points, the currency used on Subeta. TC - Ticket Center or Treasure Chest TS - Token Shop UB - Unbuyable. Usually refers to items that you would not be able to purchase from a user shop. They may only be obtained through trades, or just none are for sale on the site at all. UFS - Up for sale UFA - Up For Adoption (for pets) or Up For Auction (for items) UN - Username WL - Wishlist

Staff Related: AA - Assistant Administrator CD - Creative Department CSS/CC&S - Customer Service and Support IA - Item Administrator MM - MiniMod UA - User Administrator Keith - You'll see this name pop up quite frequently around the site, but just WHO is Keith? Well, Keith is none other than the creator and owner of Subeta! Being the Subeta's owner has many users in awe of him... or in love with him. He has quite the fan base. ;)

Miscellaneous Terms: Stickied Topic/Threads - These are topics and/or threads located at the top of individual forum boards and have a star image to the left of the topic title. These usually contain important information that you will need to know before posting in that board (the board rules), but may also be a thread that has been stickied to the top in order to centralize a specific topic discussion within that board. Locked Topics/Threads - A forum topic/thread that has been closed to further posting either by staff or at the request of the topic creator. Spam/Trolling - Short, pointless, annoying messages and off-topic posts. Newb/Newbie - Someone who new to something, i.e., new to the site, a newb to roleplaying. Noob - Can also refer to someone how is new though it is more commonly used in a derogatory manner for someone who doesn't follow the rules or does inappropriate things. This term can be offensive so it's best to refrain from using it. Commish - Art/Graphics Commissions. Ask someone or someone offering to do art/graphics in exchange for payment.[/li]
