So its just me and my mom.. lets not even get into my sister on here she in banned from the place lets just leave it at that. So we haven't had a Christmas (tree,gifts,anything really) in years.. Things got to expensive.. A tree well now with the adopted kitties is kinda a Hazard.. They would probably be climbing it or swatting the decor on it. Or my male dog will think outdoors and hike his leg on it.. He is 5 years old and has never seen a Christmas tree in his life..

My last Christmas was probably over 15 years ago.

Pretty much all I do that's Christmassy is cocoa and some Christmas movies.. no decor or presents.. Well this year I got some candles for me and my mom during a sale but there a variety of scents. Oh I do have some winter/Christmas themed diamond art kits.. Such as bunnies ice skating(currently working on) then there is a peanuts (charlie brown and Snoopy) Christmas one the gang is there with a decorated tree. The Peanuts one will be for next year. I still have a acrylic diamond art kit in my to do pile. a pic of this is on my Instagram.

The candles are for the house and my non electric cabin in backyard. The cabin I'm trying to turn into a hobby space but when it arrived it was damaged so had to file warranty claim.. Then deal with a lot of stuff just to get a repair guy out here.. Not a hassle free process to get anything done.. Anyway now I have to do some measuring to see what kind of floor I want.. It's a unfinished shed no interior walls,electric,flooring,ect... It has windows,door, and a front porch. Just the inside is unfinished.

Lumi on here is pretty much my Christmas.. so I'm looking forward to it.

I totally get this. I had the loneliest saddest christmas last year. No family, no presents, no tree. I had just broken up with my [really abusive] boyfriend and thank god the trampoline park and waffle house were open.

This year i'm more prepared and will make sugar cookies and put up a small tree. I wish I had the energy last year to put up a tree, i think it would have helped a ton.

The bunnies ice skating diamond painting sounds so cute! I cross stitch which i feel is similar [in an 8bit art style way!] and thought about getting into diamond painting but i also spill everything all the time and i would end up with a gigantic mess.

I wish you luck on your hobby cabin! making a space your own really helps mental health, in my experience.

Things are a mess here.. Thanksgiving will be a pumpkin pie and a turkey tv dinner.. For us (me and my mom) the economy sucks.. Our phone bill keeps going up..There the only provider in my area..There is no cell service in my area.. Even my neighbor's bill went up..

I coupon and use point systems at the stores. Things are just expensive.. At the moment we are rationing our toilet paper and food till we get our funds next month.. We are on fixed income we only get income once a month and with disability you can not have savings account or anything like that.. All we have is what where aloud our checks. This month we got hit by expenses harder than usual..(increase in phone bill,had to buy heaters for house the furnace is out,medication wasn't covered by insurance.)

so much is on my mind.. Im just overwhelmed.. With all the stress and drama here.. I just want to skip the holidays.. I was thinking about going to the library and borrowing some Peanuts Christmas movies(according to their sites they have them). Then I got thinking about it.. it would cost gas and I cant even use my tablet without being interrupted. so how would I watch a movie.. I wake up I usually hear the usual morning routine..I just try and brush it off..

Im a little over half way on my diamond painting.. The cabin I'm still debating on.. Whatever I decide on the floor have to be easy to sweep.. Not sure when I will be able to get the floor item.. Have to save up for it.. I also need a table.. I have a chair.

I completely understand how disheartening it is when the stress of life gets to you. I'm not sure if you've checked, but there may be free streaming services like Pluto TV that may have Peanuts Christmas movies, or at least give you other options that you can access without having to use gas. Because they are online you don't have to worry about having a set date that you have to finish and return them in case you get interrupted.

Also, I'm not sure if you live in the US and are a SSI or SSDI recipient --if you're not, or you get additional benefits that have other qualifications this may not apply to you-- but if so you absolutely CAN have a savings account and more money than just your check each month. You just can't have more than $2000 in the savings account, or another job where you make over a set amount each month, and doing so can cause termination of your benefits. (I've been on SSDI since 2009 for medical issues and have spoken to the Social Security Administration several times in regards to possible part time employment while still keeping my benefits and insurance.)

Local resources may be difficult to find, but it's always worth a shot to check some of the nationwide services (ABLE accounts are one I can think of). Most have a few questions you can answer online to find out if you qualify, as well as other ways to contact people who can answer your specific questions. Even getting started can be discouraging and stressful, but don't give up.

I have Pluto tv,Tubi,ect.. cant afford tv so thankfully there is free TV. I think apple TV bought the rights to show Peanuts.. Not 100% sure on that but they seem to have all the Peanuts shows,movies and I cant find them elsewhere..

I'm in the USA I just know what the SS office tells me. Im on full disability If I get a check from a law suit such as a car wreck I have to to turn it in and show where all the money went. (I've had to do this before) I also know each state has their own variations of laws.

We have a community action here but they help seasonally.. Like winter they help with your heating source ours is gas so they would give us a set amount to spend on gas for the propane tank. (sadly furnace is out so using electric heaters) Summer they will help provide window ac units for some homes..(have to meet the requirements) they do have emergency funds but when there out there out.. these go toward electric bills.

We also have a food pantry but its once a month and sometimes gives expired stuff.. We used to have bread sheds and other food help but then the town passed a law if you distribute food you have to pay for a spot to park and book your spot in advance. So those programs/services don't come here anymore. They told a guy who was a preacher handing out food from another county that he had to have some kind of license.. So he doesn't come here anymore either..

The only food stuff we have left is ran by one church. Christmas they try and charge people to eat there.. They have kinda took over the town.. The people that make the laws in this town are people that hold positions in the church.. They even banned specific breeds of dogs from being allowed in city limits. They even tried to ban women wearing pants from their church. Said it was unholy.. But wearing tights,shorts,ect.. under skirts is fine? I don't get this church.. Ive personally had experiences with them.. I know not every member is bad.. Just felt like a cult to me Ive not stepped foot in their in over 20 years.. I still hear people's stories about them..All I can say is Sometimes power does end up in the wrong hands..
