Hi everyone,

When I play Subeta, I give each of my pets a personality based on what they look like. Some of my pets are pretty old, so they've had their personalities for a long time.

My second-ever pet was an adopted Pherret who quickly showed me he was a serious but caring older brother type, with a lean physique and what I like to call a "worried librarian" kind of look. He's not very social, and he gets pretty anxious over all his younger siblings' antics, but he does his best to look out for their needs and help out with them the best he can. He doesn't really ever smile, but all his siblings know that his constant look of concern was only because he cared about them so much.

Then Subeta "revamped" his look.

It's been rough. He looks so chipper and perky now. It doesn't fit with his personality at all 😭

We decided it would be better to change his species/color to one that better fits his true nature. But I'm having a little difficulty finding something that's not cheerful and is also not angry/fierce, sad, vacant-eyed, too regal/snobby (he's a pretty humble guy), etc. Does anyone have any recommendations for my "worried librarian" type pet?

Looking through all the pets, these ones struck me as having the most neutral-looking expressions:

Out of those, I feel like the glacier donadak looks appropriately pensive. Otherwise, the Neela's less cartoony proportions kind of help with the big brother vibes, since it doesn't look as young as a lot of other pets do.

these species have fairly neutral expressions, but i feel like they could be read as somewhat apprehensive:

and then the upturned gaze of these guys could also come across as a slightly anxious vibe:

I can't help with the worried librarian look but as a owner of a book obsessed librarian ruffie, she'd love another book friend and had to come ask if they could be friends? lol I have Paragraphs <3
