The color scheme for this holiday has included some grungy looks in nuetral colors and there have also been richer bold blues, purples, black, and reds
One last note whether you post or not if you see an idea you like don't forget to give the post a heart. I'm reasonably certain they pay attention to which ideas are getting the most attention. Though that doesn't guarantee anything.
Tips and info for the holiday
The prices in the shop range from 5999sP to 10571sP so do your questing, restocking or whatever you do to gain sP. The shop is like the other main shops things will sell out and at the begining of the event they will sell out very quick. Like in seconds. Don't let it frustrate you. Try to get a feel for how fast the shop restocks and remember even though you can't see the line of people waiting to snatch that deal thing will eventually stay in the shop longer because there will be fewer people in line.
Also if you are new the items are organized by release date. And some items are retired each year so get the older things you want and catch the new stuff when you can.

I love the cutout backgrounds, especially since we need more that work with bodymods and more that are partial frame vs full rectangle. It could be cute to have a pirate flag cut out, a ship shape, ocean waves, skull and crossbones, sharks, etc.

I know August is ending and the holiday isn't until September (is it going to be earlier this year like the staff mentioned last year in order to make more time for Morostide?) but I'd love to see more shark items.
