The story can be found here: The Mystery of Sgt. Tibbs (via The Wild Hunt). I don't know but this whole thing is off and just illustrates another reason why cats should be kept indoors and not allowed to roam. I am not sure who to believe in this story between Valente & Garcia and I think this is a case of "Everyone sucks here except for the vets & the cat obviously". Hoping more info comes out.
I almost picked up a little black and white cat last night who seemed to be missing an eye, more for the sake of wanting to get that treated by I had no means with me to safely transport the cat (and there were houses right behind said cat so I would have potentially been on someone's property and people here are snotty about that more than roving cats.)
I don't get why people just let them roam. I tended to another who had been struck by a car. It breaks my heart every time.
Why don't people just leave the cats inside.
