Would it be possible to reset the richest user achievement each month to remove frozen/inactive/deceased users from the achievement list. Not to take away any items or money from the users, but it would give people playing a better chance of getting the achievement. Should someone start playing again, they would be reinstated on the list.
I know the statistics page updates every 30min and it has the stats on the richest user so I would think maybe that means the richest user stats update that frequently as well? I'm not sure if the richest user is active or not currently, but if they are best of luck to anyone to claim that title xD
If this would be helpful I do think it's a good idea though!
i'm fairly certain the richest user counter broke during the server move a while back and is still broken (there's a thread from a while ago pointing out that the counter is not correct), so removing inactive/frozen users from the count without fixing that wouldn't solve any issues related to the difficulty of the achievement in itself, i'd guess, though i don't think it's a bad idea.
it may be that it's fixed now, but it claims i'm the 94th richest user with 175mil which i'm 99% sure is not accurate!
I don't know if the counter is fixed or not, but it might be. I recently went from 7th richest user to 8th. (I guess someone passed me up). I don't know if the richest user is active or not. If the richest users ever do leave, we have a better chance of getting that achievement. I heard the richest user is somewhere close to 60 billion. I don't think I could ever get that much. I know if I ever get the richest user achievement, I'll go on a major spending spree to give others a chance. lol.
The richest user thing is broken anyways, kind of like the forumtext size reader with its outdated dimensions and file limits. But. If the richest user can't be fixed any time soon, it should be temporarily done away with to allow for other larger mishaps to be fixed more quickly.
Yes, it takes an achievement out of the running for the moment, I am aware, I think there's more important things on this site needing tending over hoarding virtual wealth.
My two cents.

I think I'd respectfully disagree. If someone has, say, 100 billion points, it shouldn't matter whether or not they've logged in for a month. Those points are theirs. Can you beat that? No? Then you aren't the richest user (myself included, lol!).
It's kind of like, if someone set the world record for some kind of running event. Just because they pass away that title shouldn't be removed. If you can't beat it, then the world record doesn't belong to you, you know?
