My subscription just renewed and I am under the Quester Plan.
This is what it says on the subscription page: Gold Account 1 ✨ special ✨ item 250 Cash Shop Credits Battle Opponent
This is the notification I got this morning, which does not include a battle opponent: Thank you for subscribing to the Quester plan! Your plan has been billed and renewed. Your monthly rewards have been added to your account: You got 250 CSC! Special item: A Amethyst Primrose Petals has been placed in your inventory! You now have a Gold Account for the duration of your subscription! Your previously-existing GA time will not be used up while your subscription is active.
I’d recommend that if there isn’t a new battle opponent monthly, like all the other items on the list, changing the verbiage of the subscription page. It sounds like I should be receiving a new opponent every month along with the special item and CSC.
There isn't a new opponent every month, but having an active subscription that includes it does allow you to access the Bewitched Bookcase opponent in the Cash Shop tab
That confused me at first as well. It might be better if they just specify the actual opponent - "Battle Opponent unlocked - Bewitched Bookcase." Or something to that effect.

- yes! I like that phrasing.
- yes! I got the bookcase opponent. I was just thinking that there was one a month like the other perks.
This is a great point! One of the UAs brought this up recently too (I don't know if it was because of this thread or a ticket submitted) and I have it marked to update the text in the next few days.
The original intention of the challenger gifted through the subscriptions was to change like once a year or every season. That clearly hasn't happened, so you have the scary bookcase (I need to remind to update the loot again). I like the suggestion by because we can always adjust the name as needed in the future.
As a little reminder, we're always looking for things to add to the subscription program that are nice perks but will not make non-subscription users lose out on something big. Right now, the book challenger offers many items that have already been released on-site, which, if anything, helps bring the prices down some. The changing item each month isn't account-bound, so it can be sold to other users.
