I tried to play a game of Seashell Spotter and it immediately goes to the part where you are supposed to pick out the matching shell from the previous page but..you don't get to see the shell that you are supposed to identify.

It worked fine for me. I'm on a windows laptop with firefox. Perhaps you should include your browser and device, since several glitches in the past have happened on some systems and not others.

Current up to date Widows 10 and I have used both Waterfox G9.09 and the current FireFox 123.0.1 and I get the same exact thing. I click on Seashell Spotter and I get taken directly to the page showing the four shells I must choose from.

Usually when you get to the game you are shown a shell then when you are ready you click on 'continue' (or whatever) and THEN you see four shells that you must choose.

I tried disabling the ad blocker but the results are the same.

I played the game a couple of weeks ago and there was no issue but now there is and nothing has changed with my computer or browsers

I used the link and it does the same thing. Takes me to the page with the four shells. I know I am not the only one who has this issue and since I played it just a couple of weeks or so ago and since then nothing has changed with my computer or browser then something else is up.

Hmm...I just tried it on Firefox and it's working (version 123.01 - 64-bit).

Strange...not working for me at all. I just tried again and I get taken to the page with the four shells after clicking on the game icon.

I cannot be the only one having this issue; I am not trying to be difficult but I have noticed that people seem to be experiencing sporadic issues while others with the same setup as I have do not.

Oh well..I'll just wait for the problem to clear up on it's own. Thanks

Edit: I tried something..I clicked on the game icon and it takes me to the four shells page so I just randomly click one (it's the wrong shell by-the-way) and click 'Go Back' and now it works. For some reason there must have been a supremely stubborn cookie that refused to leave even when I cleared the cache.

However I now discovered another angle to the problem in that now that I get to the page with the single shell, if I don't complete the game and decide to go to another area of the site then return to the game I get taken to the page with the four shells instead of going back to the single shell page.

I did what you said - started the game, got the single shell, closed the window. When I came back it showed me the 4 options without me clicking through. But having been warned, I paid attention so I knew which one to click.

I don't know if this is a new issue or not. I never got interrupted, or stopped mid-game before. My guess would be that its always been like that and times people have come across the problem in the past, just assumed it was their error, or misclicking.

Either way, whether its a new glitch or an old problem just being discovered, it should be fixed.

Thanks. I am glad to know that I am not the only one who experienced this. What I do, for now, is complete the game by choosing my shell but then I don't click on 'Go Back to Seashell Spotter' until I am ready to play again.
