honestly, I can't remember mine all that well, partially because we were both manic at the time and partially because it honestly was just a "hey we should do this because I like you and it makes sense" sort of thing.
been...2 and a half, 3 years since then? still haven't gotten married haha and honestly might not ever. or we might just decide to elope one day. who can say?

Mine was so low key and very much my husband's personality lol.
We were long distance (me in the US and him in Canada) and I was visiting him and getting ready to leave in like two days. We had been dating about a year and a half and we were laying on the bed just talking when I was like "oh, we said we were going to discuss me possibly moving at some point this trip" and he just sits up and goes "oh yeah! (insert him rambling for five minutes to the point I have no idea where this is going or what he is saying here) do you want to marry me?" and leans over into his bedside table and pulls out a ring sizer. lmao. He had the ring sizer so I could pick out my ring myself. He found a website that lets you customize basically everything about the ring and it was perfect.
He knew I did not want a big spectacle, but how he did it still makes me laugh. Five years married this year.
We both agreed to the engagement and there wasn't a surprise. We went to our favourite natural park and exchanged rings and sweet words. We are getting married next year.
We are very simple and all of our actions reflect it !
Both Disney Nerds soooo in front of the Cinderella Castle in Disney World of COURSE. He had me THOROUGHLY convinced he wasn't going to do it though. He's super sweet :)
Ayo, fellow castle engagement here! I work at Magic Kingdom though, so WDW is not very exciting for us. Our first trip to Disneyland, he proposed in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle.
It was kind of a surprise? Like we had talked about it and I knew he had finished ring shopping, so it was part of the plan. But the exact moment of when was a surprise. As we were heading to the park the thought definitely crossed my mind, but I didn't want to be expecting it and then get disappointed if it didn't happen.

Eyyyy! :D Mine proposed to me in front of Cinderella's Castle too!
Prior, I'd never been to Disney and we were in FL for a friends wedding at the time and just used the period to kind of vacay since both of our jobs are physically and mentally demanding. It was a little soggy that day and I was already starting not to feel great ( we both ended up with Covid when we got back home go figure LOL ) We were coming up to Cinderella's castle and he pointed it out to me asking if I wanted a closer look and I was like, yeah sure ( but also just trying to remain excited by the fact that I was IN magic kingdom lol )
We walked up to one of those black gate things in front of the castle where the flowers are and we're idly chatting (reminder: It's drizzling outside, early March and a little chilly for FL weather) and he turns and goes:
"I'd get down on one knee but I don't think I'll be able to get back up." ( has not great knees from sports in the early years) Me: (drawn blank, confused because its raining) "Why would you get on your knees?? It's wet and raining??" [ completely oblivious ]
And then he pops out the ring c: We've been engaged for two years now and we're getting married this October :3c
My fiance and I went on a Princess Cruise last year. And on 6/19 I gave him a surprise breakfast on our balcony. So of course he took it as a sign after we ate he popped the question.
He was nervous of course. He brought the box on the table and I looked at it like: "Is that a ring" and when I tried to take it he was like no wait. And he went down on one knee and asked. I knew it was going to happen due to red flags it was just too obvious that he would do it on our cruise I just didn't know what day and honestly I am happy he did it in our room. It was nice/simple and not around strangers xD
We don't have dates or anything. We will figure everything out after our debt is better ^^
He proposed on my 30th birthday. I didn't know for sure it would be that day, but I figured the way we were progressing, it would be a smart day to do it. I hate my birthday, so his logic was, if I say yes, the day would be better, and if I say no, the day will still suck just as much. He was so jittery the whole day, it was pretty cute. We were just home, and he had cooked me a nice dinner. He gave me my presents and one was just a little box. This box was the very same box I used to ask him if he wanted to go steady. It had a little note in it about how much he loves me, and when I read the last bit, he got down on one knee. I said yes. It was pretty romantic, and I cherish that memory very much.
