Warning - Long comment!

You have quite a few constants equipped (Rift Staff, Shinwas Short Sword, Inflatable Saheric Crescent and Ultra Star Rod) and you usually only want two constants equipped. They will change depending on your opponent. For example, if your opponent does a lot of Dark icons, then Ultra Star Rod will help negate the Dark damage. However, the constants in your set don't have much or any healing. Generally, you'll want constants that block damage and heal you a bit each turn. I won't go into the available constants at Tier 12 (which is everything!), but I'll mention some other items below that are staples in my battle set. Many of these items can be earned through battling, so I would try to earn them and avoid buying them.

This item can be created using items from the Battle Shop that you purchase with your tokens. I try to use this at the beginning of my battles

This item can be created using items from the Battle Shop that you purchase with your tokens. (This is also an ingredient to create the item above, so you'll need to create two if you want both the helmet and the mecha.) I try to use this at the beginning of my battles if freezing is enabled.

This item can be won after beating Cinthilocks five times.

This is a millionaire center item for 8,000,000 sP, but it's useful at all tiers as a healer.

This is an expensive purchase! It basically acts the same way as the Recycle Blaster. Unfortunately, you'll have to pay about 60mil sP if you opt to include this in your set.

All of the above items are usually in my default set (save for Phoenix Quill - I generally equip that when freezing is disabled.) In addition to the items mentioned above, I'll have two constant attackers that attack, defend against certain icons and heal a bit. Battle history has been wiped, so I'm not sure if you've won any of the following weapons - Paintbrush Blades or Malerias Cursed Arm Bangle or Prodigys Eyeball. Those have healing and would be better options than the constants you're using now (and they can all be earned from battling.)

For scrolls, you need an infinite use scroll with a bit more healing. Feather Explosion Scroll is a cheap one until you earn a better one from battling. It uses a bit more AP than other options, but it will cost you less out of pocket initially. I would omit homing meteor and singed stuffing from your scroll set. Work towards adding more freezing scrolls (when freezing is enabled) and also work on acquiring more defensive/healing scrolls for when freezing is disabled. Some examples of defensive/healing scrolls are Gift of the Forj Scroll (earned from battling), Sancturia Exodin Scroll (created at the Secluded Shrine with ingredients), Spacial Abyss Scroll (created at the Secluded Shrine with ingredients) and Cobalt Eternal Scroll (millionaire center scroll - I don't own any of these because I'm too cheap.) There are other scrolls as well that are used defensively and for healing, but I just used some examples. Don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or are having trouble with a certain opponent. Your pet has good stats and good amount of AP; you just need the right weapons and scrolls for each opponent.

I hope that I am not presuming, but since you helped another user I thought maybe you could advise me? My battle pet is Bae in Toyland. She is tier 12 and her AP is 210.

My default set consists of

I am unable to defeat anyone over tier 11 and I was hoping you might give me some ideas as to what weapons to use, purchase, and so forth, and also which scrolls are best? I have a few good ones). Thank you very much in advance for any assistance you may wish to give me.

Hello. Can you give me an example of an opponent that troubles you? Your pet has really good stats and AP. I suspect you need to adjust your default set, scrolls and the order you use them on certain opponents. You shouldn't be having a lot of trouble with those stats.

Your default set has a lot of constant attackers when you typically only need 2. Natasha is a very good weapon for blocking fire (and some light now.) Prodigys Eyeball is good for blocking water and earth. Paintbrush Blades blocks a few different icons. Hydragellos Maniacal Core blocks light (and a blessing to block other icons as well.) I've not used Hydragellos Maniacal Core because I combined mine with Gelatin Concoction to create Maniacal Essence. Did you happen to win a Gelatin Concoction during the last Gelly War? Maniacal Essence is the dark blocker that I use that also blocks a bit of wind now as well.

Basically, you want two constant attackers depending on the opponent plus the other items in your set. You should add Recycle Blaster to your default set. Have you created a Volatile Energized Mecha from your battle tokens? That's a good staple as well.

If you give me a specific opponent, I can let you know what weapons/scrolls I would use to defeat them and maybe that will help you approach other opponents as well. I use Jess' Comprehensive Guide to Battle Opponents to see what kind of damage my opponent will do, then I choose my constant attackers based on that information. I will also adjust my scroll set if freezing is disabled. What scrolls are you using?

: Thanks so much! I will look into those options ^_^ luckily I already own the Phoenix quill but for some reason forgot to add it here.

I have some Sp saved up specifically for battling. But not enough to go for Natascha for example, but some of the options you gave me are great to work towards ^_^

You're welcome! I don't own Natasha either! I'm too cheap for that! To be honest, I don't have a really great fire blocker.

Nearly all of my weapons were earned from battling, so you can definitely acquire some great weapons without spending big bucks! I wouldn't go out and spend a lot of sP on weapons, especially when they can be earned as your pet gets stronger.

Good luck and have fun!

I am unable to make a dent against any of the "Super Paramnesia" opponents, nor can I defeat any of the creatures in the "Secret" category (those in the bottom rows such as Mathis, Ying, and so forth.

I rely heavily on my 6 shriek of despair scrolls, and also on my 3 cobalts and 2 sancturias. I already have a volatile energized mecha so I will add it to my default set. I do not have a gelatin concoction and there are none for sale in the shops.

Thank you for taking so much time with my questions. And I will check out Jess' Comprehensive Guide to Battle Opponents.

You should be able to earn Gelatin Concoction in the next Gelly War.

The Super Paramnesia opponents are very difficult and you essentially need the right weapons to beat them (and strong enough pet.) I used Jess' Guide to Super Paramnesia Opponents for each one of them. Those opponents will require a diverse armory and weapons that block specific icons. Or you can ask to borrow weapons (I did that for one of the opponents!)

As for opponents like Mathis or Ying, I shamefully have not unlocked Mathis! LOL! I'll take a look at Ying though. Here's Jess' Ying page. Ying does damage in wind, water, light and physical. I think I used Swashbuckle and Manifesting Weapon to block her wind and water attacks. You can use Subetalodge's weapon search feature to find weapons that block certain icons. If you can block at least two of the icons I mentioned, and you try to chain freeze her, that should help you get wins.

For a step by step of how I would approach this battle First turn, I would use Volatile Energized Mecha + Intricate Energized Helmet + an Infinite use scroll (Aftershocks, for example, but there are many others that you can buy for cheaper or earn through battling)

Second turn: Recycle Blaster + Bear Head Bomb + Shriek of Despair Scroll

Third turn: Acorn Bomb + Your wind/water/light/physical constant + Shriek of Despair Scroll

Fourth turn and beyond until you run out of freezing scrolls: Your wind/water/light/physical constant + Your second wind/water/light/physical constant + Shriek of Despair Scroll

Use your two constant weapons + infinite use scroll when you run out of freezing scrolls. The battle will likely be over soon, as Ying doesn't have a lot of health to begin.

If you have a wind blocking constant (Swashbuckle, Blessed Trident of the Banished one, Old Ragged Axe, Sapphire Twinfang, Oracles Short Sword, etc.) you should be in good shape. I searched Subetalodge for those wind blocking options.

I just took a look at Jess' page on Mathis. He does a lot of fire. Your Natasha should make short work of him, especially if you pair it with a physical or magma blocker. For example, if you use Natasha and Calvin Blackmoons Sword (can be purchased in the Battle Shop) following the same pattern above for Ying, Mathis won't stand a chance. It's mostly about blocking the opponent's attack icons! Of course there are nuances, but blocking their attacks is a big part of it. I hope this helps! I know it's a lot and I'm happy to answer any questions. Keep in mind, I don't know everything and I don't have a really diverse armory. This is just how I approach battles.

I hope it's OK for me to join the discussion and ask your advice regarding my Alexondra who is about to hit T12 ;)

I think my current go to's are pretty good but are there others you would recommend? I have the following: STS, phoenix quill, Tainted Keeper Skull Staff, Maniacal Essence, Maniacal Slappy Hand, Panzer Hydra Gauntlet, Swashbuckle, Extendable Elemental Trident, Core of the Island, Lucent (Broken), Paintbrush Blades and Soma Tablets.

My scrolls: Cobalt Eternal x2, Shriek of Despair x4, Morosbane, Spacial Abyss, Gift of the Forj, The Void, Tasselled Aegis and Galactic Beatdown. Her AP is 157.

I'm in the process of getting Bear Head Bomb, Volatile Energized Mecha and Intricate Energized Helmet that you recommended. I'm willing to spend 300-350m to update my battle set :D

You have some great weapons! Definitely don't spend sP on Bear Head Bomb/Volatile Energized Mecha/Intricate Energized Helmet. You can earn those all on your own. You may already have Battle Shop tokens to build Intricate Energized Helmet or Volatile Energized Mecha. Just keep battling if you don't have enough tokens yet.

As for your other weapons, in most cases you only need two constants in your set at one time. So you would choose two out of the following depending on the challenger: Tainted Keeper Skull Staff (your pet's defense should be higher than its strength to get the most out of the Skull Staff), Maniacal Essence, Maniacal Slappy Hand, Panzer Hydra Gauntlet, Swashbuckle, Extendable Elemental Trident and Paintbrush Blades. Then you'd equip your Phoenix Quill, Soma Tablets and I'd add a Recycle Blaster to your default set. You should have a freezer in most cases (Intricate Energized Helmet eventually), but you may already have one that you didn't mention. Until you earn Intricate Energized Helmet, see if you have another 100% freezer you can use (Deluxe Death Shard, Gorgun, Hydragellos Possessed Eye). For the extra slot or two, you can equip a full blocker (STS) or another healer (Reviver of the Lion) or a bomb (Bear Head Bomb or Acorn Bomb).

I hope this helps! I can't say anything you should actually spend sP on to update your battle set because it looks pretty good to me! Eventually you'll want to acquire weapons to block icons that your existing weapons don't block. A dedicated magma block or fire block or light block would be good. You can check Subetalodge's weapon search feature to find weapons that block those icons. In most cases you can earn good ones from battling. I hope this helps!

Thank you so much for getting back to me quickly ;)

I have Deluxe Death Shard so I can use it until I get an Intricate Energized Helmet and I will hunt for T12 weapons to add as I enjoy collecting weapons. The variety available here is awesome :D
