I'm just a few exp points being tier, and was looking what would be a good suggestion/load out for a tier 8. I've kind of hit a wall with the difficulty spike between hard/and very hard opponents, where I've gotten p much most of the exp i can out of the hard ones without grinding battle quests endlessly, but getting wiped by most of the very hard.

So trying to get a better load out to progress further.

What does your current armory / scroll library look like? What's your budget?

Do you have a decent feel for the different battle components? Modification Crystals, Curses, Blessings, and perks being disabled during battle? Selecting the right weapons / mods you already have for specific challengers can make a world of difference. Is there a specific challenger your struggling with?

So far my set, from just exiting tier 7, just hard guaging what weapons are good to start into a new tier as haven't found many guides for better weapons tier to tier, some are have the crystals but planning to clear a bunch of my vault out for some budget for more (so probs 50mil budget lil over I've been kinda spotty in playing for awhile so have a lot stored up)

Mostly getting past recycle beast/captain fish hook atm

First thing I would recommend is to read as many books as possible to your pet. Scrolls are essentially a third weapon slot and you want to take advantage of that.

Do you have an infinite use healing scroll? Here are some examples: There are many others. Those are the ones that I've mostly used. Feather Explosion costs more AP, but it's a pretty cheap option. I used that scroll until I earned Aftershocks from battling.

As for your weapon set, I recommend equipping a freezer, your bombs are fine for now (Potion of the Robot/Potion of Phoenix), , a healer (Phoenix Quill is commonly used, but it is a high cost initially) and your two main attackers. My two main attackers vary depending on the opponent. If the opponent does a lot of earth damage, then I'd like my main attacker to have an earth block. You can add another healer or whatever in your eighth slot. I have Soma Tablets equipped alongside Recycle Blaster, but you don't have to go out and buy this stuff at once. It's a good goal to save for.

I checked your battle history. The first opponent I saw that you have some losses against was Carl. If you check 's Battle Guide and scroll down to Carl, you'll see that his weapons mostly deal Physical and Earth. I look at my armory for Tier 8 weapons that can block those icons. For this tier I would choose (blocks Physical) and (blocks Earth and Fire, although Fire doesn't matter against Carl.)

That's just an example of how I would handle Carl. I would use a freezer for the first turn. are some examples of freezers. You can purchase Gorgun from the Battle Shop. It's not the best freezer, but it is a low cost option to get you started. I'd usually try to chain freeze after that with freezing scrolls, but Carl has a blessing (the vodka bottle) that will prevent freezing after the first turn. So I'd just use my infinite use scroll each turn along with two weapons.

While my armory isn't the greatest, I have a decent number of weapons that I've won from battling. For Fish Breath Jacques, which you mentioned troubled you, I would basically have the same approach as above, but I'd replace the two attackers with Amethyst Trident and Prodigy Staff. Keep in mind, I only looked through my tier 8 weapons, but there are lower tiered weapons that you own that can work as well. I don't have any tier 8 pets, but I used the weapons above with my tier 9 pet and it worked out well. You can also add crystals to your weapons to prevent freezing and stealing. You can use various scrolls for healing and blocking as well as for freezing. Subetalodge has a useful search feature for weapons. You can select the tier and what type of weapon you're searching for. It helps me to find weapons that aren't in my armory.

I hope that gives you an idea of one way to go about battling. That's just how I do it, so I can't recommend a general set to use for Tier 8. My set is constantly changing (at least the two main attackers are changing) depending on the opponent's weapons, my pet's tier and AP. Good luck!

(Sorry for the long post! I haven't figured out how to condense this information, but hopefully you find something helpful.)

You're welcome! I'm glad you found the info helpful. It will become easier as you earn more weapons. You'll win a lot of loot from battling.

You can get creative with mod crystals and scroll sets as well. Good luck in your battles!
