Oh my gosh, thank you for the resources!!! I've been curious about neocities as a replacement for carrd to showcase ocs but wasn't looking forward to having to acclimate to another platform, especially a heavy html/css one.

I'm probably going to move off neocities once I get my own domain, actually... neocities is a good option for beginners but I'm starting to feel limited by it, and the supporter tier is pretty expensive for what it gives. but it's going to be a while before I get all that figured out, so I might as well share in the meantime c:

I JUST made my neocities page last night, so it's nothing fancy yet, but I wanted somewhere to post my art.

here it is! like I said, very bare bones right now. I'M WORKING ON IT, IT'S FINE.

I used to know HTML and CSS better, but it's been ages since I coded so I feel like I have to learn all over again, but I think I will have fun trying to build this site up. I never was able to get javascript to work for me.

YOOO it's looking GOOD so far, plus your art bangs!!! if you're looking for a good piece of coding for art galleries, might i recommend one of these 3? static gallery generator by kalechips, melon's gallery maker!, or myartgallery

I am still playing around and not ENTIRELY sure what I want my site to look like, but I do want to do something with my gallery, so these look helpful! your furbsona is pretty cool and that gallery looks pretty sleek, so that's a very good reference point.

I've heard of this on and off. Maybe I should make one and pull all my stuff from instagram and post my art there instead because all the new stuff with AI and data stealing I'm kinda sick of having to work so hard to keep nosy companies from sifting through my data. Might actually be helpful if I finally get off my ass and get my POD sticker shop on etsy started already. I just feel like I need a few things not just one lil sheet because I made a single mockup. Plus, I need to make a logo and banner too.

It is unfortunately on the block list at my company so I'll be checking it out at home later :')

I've been using this site as a refresher for me. I already knew some HTML and CSS from classes I had taken YEARS ago, so for me it's more like reminding myself something I once knew, and since I already had been taught some coding before I also kind of know what I want to look for. I don't know how well it would work for someone trying to learn from scratch, and I know the aesthetics on my site are more minimal than a lot of other sites I've seen made. but just in case it is helpful, I wanted to share something I've used to help me build up the basics on my site.
